I’m not sure why checking to see if first aid is part of the mandatory portion of the continued education would be necessary.

I’m sure they can renew their licenses and get through with their continuing education without having to lie, of course. But that doesn’t necessary mean that they would be willing to go through that process 😅😅

well, if its not on you, so not sure why you even need to be involved then. you are not the one doing the course or needing then license. Its actually nothing to do with you.

so theres no need to lie for other people. If my parents or sibling wanted me to do things for them all the time I would just say no. They are adults, they can take responsibility for themselves. Im not going to take my brothers exam for him. He needs to do it himself. If he doesnt do it, or does it and doesnt pass, thats nothing to do with me.

what would even be the point of lying and saying he did it when he didnt ?

People that lie make no sense.

I had this boss who boasted to me that he cheated and lied on his eye exam. and his hearing test. I was like why would you even do that. If you actually cant see properly, what would be the point of pretending you can see. (he memorized the letters on the eye chart test apparently)

When we all had to have hearing tests, he told me later that he cheated on that too. I was like what. So he really was deaf but pretended he could hear.

um ok. it was not fun working for someone with total disregard for health and safety.

well, then you shouldn't be lying about anything then cos you aren't going to stay in the workforce very long if you keep thinking its cool to lie about stuff you've never done or stuff other people haven't done.

When you lie, people die. It's true.

In all the workplace disasters that have happened, when they did investigations eg. Pike River Mine, 26 people died. Why. Fudging health and Safety reports. Ignoring warnings. Approving stuff that shouldn't have ever been approved. Putting profits over people.

White Island volcano eruption. People died why. Ignoring warnings. Lying about whether it's safe to visit an active volcano. Should the ferries even have their licence?

You are asking a hypothetical question concerning an event which has not taken place. Talk to your parents ... let them know they are putting themselves and the salon owner at risk. Your parents might heed your advice and complete their courses as required.

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
I know I’m about to ask a hypothetical questions for an event that hasn’t taken place, but if you don’t mind me asking,

if it comes down to it, would it be okay for me to translate ANYTHING, as long as I don’t actually DO anything? For example, let’s say if a thing said “I affirm that I have done my course” and there’s a yes box, would it be okay for me to translate those things if I believe the outcome will be lying?

Not saying that it’s right per say, but this is in contrast to me reading a thing that says “I affirm I have done my course” and checking the box for someone else.

I respect anyone who works hard and does their best regardless of occupation. @Dino246 offered wise counsel regarding the licensing.
Btw I’m sure u mean “regardless of occupation” to a certain extent, as opposed to an unlimited extent haha

Check the state website where your parents live to see if you can select the language at the site.

Additionally, for the examination, the state in which I live provides the following information relating to the written and practical examination:

The exams are available in English, Korean, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Please note: the examinations are translated into the most universal or neutral version of each language to be acceptable to the widest possible audience. If a candidate cannot read, speak, or write in English at a 10th grade-level and the examination is not available in their native language, the candidate may request approval to use an interpreter for one or both parts of the examination.

You might not have to be involved in the process at all.

Hope this helps ...

Hmm, if I may ask, why are you looking at examinations? if that’s what ur doing.

My parents seem to not require examinations. From what I’ve been told, they take an exam to get their licenses, but not to renew their licenses, if I remember correctly.

I looked at both renewal and interpreter. the exam information came up when I searched for interpreter info.

In the state where I live, it appears there is quite a variety of language capability (100 + languages you can choose from).

In what state do your parents live?

I'm not really feeling anxious, but thank you.

Also, turns out it's too early to try to get their (person) licenses renewed.

Hi @reneweddaybyday,
My mother is willing to work through a translation of the course material (if I’ll be able to translate, I hope I can at least put together something mediocre).
The problem is, my mother would like for me to go ahead and go through the process of renewing the Nail technician licenses of my mom and dad.
I feel like this is wrong and dishonest perhaps, because they haven’t really done their CE (continuing education) yet.
And I don’t think my Dad will do any work regarding this.
I’m pretty sure can have someone who can speak Vietnamese help them with renewing their licenses for $500 or they can have me do it for free.

What do you think I should do?

Explain to your parents what you believe about what they are asking you to do ... that it is not something you want to do for them.

God works on our hearts when we are doing something (or thinking about doing something) we shouldn't be doing. If we ignore God's proddings and do whatever we want anyway, that is not a good way for us to live our lives. And sometimes when God works on our hearts and we do as He guides us, we end up irritating other people who think we should do what they want us to do. At that point, we need to stick with God.
