And this....in Bethabara beyond the Jordan.… Not only was Jesus baptized here, but also He was revealed to Israel as the Son of God, the Messiah.
John’s ministry, which had been prophesied by Isaiah and Malachi was being fulfilled at this place as well.
John 1:26-28….
26 John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know. 27 It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”
28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
@BeeBlessedAnd this....

And this....
Jos 4:8

Which illness did Mephibosheth suffer from?![]()
Normally new kings kill the entire lineage of the kings they replace so there are no disputes later as to who is the rightful king. Mephibosheth probably thought he would be killed when brought before David. Not only that, he was helpless to escape as he couldn't walk. He is indeed a picture of us all before Jesus...under the sentence of death and helpless to do anything about it.can i just say this is, to me, one of the most poignant pictures of the Gospel in all the Bible?
David wanting to show kindness for Jonathan's sake, just as we are shown kindness, mercy and love for Jesus' sake.
like Mephibosheth, we'll eat at the King's table forever. glory to God!
