so in John 19 what could be the reason why Jesus said here’s your mother to the disciple who took Mary into his home? what was he conveying.

in John 20 what could be the reason why the cloth linen was mentioned as lying in the tomb, what could possibly be the purpose of such knowledge to know, why Jesus left the garments to convey what? was he trying to tell someone something?

Without looking I recall him to be his half brother....
And.....I forget.....so they would know he was alive and the body snatchers didn't get him.....lol

Hi KnowMe, you have some great insight and questions that would be awesome threads in the Bible Discussion Forum. This thread is just simple Bible questions that answers can be found in the scriptures.

The object of Bible Trivia is just to get us back to the Bible and in the scriptures - for learning. Not so much for theories. It's easy to get off track on this thread and we often do! lol! :giggle:

Now, it can't be proven with scripture that the disciple John is Jesus' half brother......just saying. :)

Feel free to take this discussion to another thread in the Bible Discussion Forum.....:)(y)

According to scripture, what is the reason why Jesus said the widow's mite was more than all the others monetary offerings?
It's interesting because rather than paying tithe required by Levitical law she gave far beyond the measure. All she could or had depending on translation. This makes merely obeying the law seem rather pale. It reminds me of mustard seed faith. The mustard seed is very small but the faith to let go and let God seems immeasurable for us humans.

Hahha indeed, it was for that guy who wanted a challenge, but unfortunately that one is beyond most people’s pay grade. though the disciples did get it, reason why some verses are there. I’ll leave it at that if that poster wants to give it shot I posted it.

that wouldn’t be followong protocol, the OP wants simple teachings not advanced teachings. Got to keep it simple.
The Criminal on the cross. Luke 22 vs 41; "We are punished justly, for we are getting what we deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." NIV It sounds simple to me.

that’s pretty simple, you get A-

Was it 46? John 2:20
Interestingly, this span of time concatenates well with 7 weeks and 62 weeks noted in Dan 9. Seven weeks of years to complete the temple and wall,
and 62 more weeks until the advent of the Mashiach Nagid.
