What prophet's writings did Daniel read that told him how long the Israelites would be captives in Babylon?
Lafftur what is the answer to this View attachment 188311

He was informed by the cherub Gabriel after reading Moses' writings. Right?

Daniel 9:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Hello Deade,

Sorry it took me a while to reply. :) Yay!!! I stumped you!!! :giggle:

So, the writings of Moses is not correct. It was the writings of Jeremiah that Daniel read which he then understood that the 70 years of captivity in Babylon was almost over. :D

I think it does not tell us other than it was a certain young man that followed them.
Correct! Many commentators believe it is Mark himself. It is only recorded in his Gospel, and I've heard the upper room Last Supper abode was Mark's fathers.
