And not a moment too soon!

Phones (and before them, newspapers) are wonderful inventions to give your eyes somewhere to go instead of awkwardly trying to find a direction to look at so you don't look like you're staring at anybody. (y)
 
They are probably perfectly well aware that it already existed, but pretending they came up with it is better than admitting that their elders had some pretty good ideas.

Now if only they could discover real ice cream instead of using that fast food junk.

I don't care either way. Momma wouldn't let me watch either of them. :p

She wouldn't let me watch He Man because it had occult references. She wouldn't let me watch Barbie because... uh... I dunno. Actually she might have let me watch Barbie if I'd wanted to. I'll never know.

Occult references? I cant imagine anyone being offended by original He-Manl l ol. Tbh the show was before my time and I have seen it. Very very cheesy. Perhaps she'd let you watch the Christmas Special.
