That is true, about Spock. I yield to your knowledge of the other folks. Well, one of the Joy's of having a red shirt I guess is even if you have been shot, it is only a temporary thing.Hey they have come back to life in Star Trek before. Like, many times. They even made a movie about Spock's turn at being dead-then-back-alive.

"Like sand through an hour glass, these are the days (aboard the Starship Enterprise) of our lives..."![]()
Ummm...that's what the computer does for them. "Computer, what day and time is it ?" If your computer in your ship can't figuare out the day and time, probably shouldn't trust it to go to warp and go to the right place and have proximity alerts that work is all I'm say...But how do you determine the length of day on a starship? Are they earth days, klingon days, vulcan days or some sort of hybridized standard federation days that don't match the rotation of any planets? And if so how do you schedule leave? I get 6 days of leave which starts midafternoon and ends in the middle of the night 4 rotation cycles later because the planet I'm on doesn't match up to the official days exactly. And that's before you account for the relativistic affects of travelling over the speed of light.
Don't like that song Poin Poin, or just the way Spock sings it, hey he's tryin now

<<<Hands over the popcorn, walks up to the mic and taps it and says "Testing, one two, check check mic check..."
My first choice would be a Jedi Knight. It really does fit my personality in so many ways. Would not be going for a particular Jedi, as i am not a follower, so I would have my own Jedi Master name (watch out Star Wars Universe!).

The second I want to explain, as it is on the polar opposite side of the spectrum... Sandtrooper. I don't know what it is about these guys, but even as a Wee Lad, I have really liked Stormtroopers and they are them, just better and cooler! Now, Stormtroopers, God Bless em, they can't hit the broadside of a barn, but anyway, there you go. The Sandtrooper however did prove in the first movie they can hit somethings and look a lot better doing it might I add.

Now then, my third choice would be Han Solo. I got some Han to me as well () so would be a great choice as well. He is pretty to the point and his inner strengh is something that is to the dread of the Empire!

It goes by standardized Stardates. What they are calibrated by, I have no idea. But it's what they always use, at least in TNG. Maybe Earth, being the hub of the Federation (and how did they finagle THAT, I wonder) uses GMT for Stardates. Or maybe a Stardate day is an average of the day length of all the worlds in the Federation. But how do you determine the length of day on a starship?
