I just glanced at that article. If you're completely incapable of tying your shoes, maybe some old fashioned slip-ons or even 80's style velcro rather than paying $350 for a pair of "smart" shoes.
Could be worse. If you had a Numi toilet you might find yourself having to reboot the commode.

I didn’t know those existed, but I think I need one. That could be entertaining if it is hackable.
