I think you should think once as well as twice before you have sex sith someone. But the bible is written long ago in a society of patriarcal tribes and where the rights of esp women was sort of non-existent. A society where it is accepted to stone people to death and to sell your own daughters as slaves.

If we all just said ''The Bible was written a long time ago, it's now okay to do x & y'' then we might as will live how we like because God's word changes so he probably changed his mind about salvation. On the basis that the Bible is outdated God also condones polygamy, thieving, and it's okay to like your games consoles more than him(!) Why? Because I said so, the bible is just a rough guide.

Sorry, but you either follow the God's word or you don't. Picking and choosing to create a socially acceptable Gospel is just a one way ticket to God's eternal wrath.
