Yes, I was. I didn't watch the NF interview yet, but he apparently publicly backtracked on a lot of how he was in the interview with Candace. There was a comparison of NF to David Duke, and having in the past read some of the things David Duke had claimed, can understand the comparison. (David Duke actually claims/claimed some intelligent things and appeared to me (more than a decade ago when I was looking into him) to be well-researched, but add that to the fact he is/was part of the racist and historically violent KKK, people would often disregard whatever true things such people say as racism - throwing the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak).

Definitely I think Tucker was controlled in the past. He is either truly out on his own now, or has been flipped and is working for the counter-narrative, but some of the basic things he laughed at in the past as "conspiracy theories" he is now doing justice to. I thought it was telling in his Putin interview that Putin mentioned he'd applied to join the CIA (and apparently, Tucker only learned in recent years his dad was CIA - lol!), and to me the flipping theory would not be a stretch.

My opinion on Tucker?

He is lonely. Lonely for being relevant once again. His ratings have dropped severely. To gain back some viewership he began to post outlandish conspiracy theory stuff because it gave him a momentary boost in viewership...not understanding that overall he was still bleeding viewership. He doesn't really believe any of it....he just believes that acting as if he does gives himself credibility.

D.L.S. is that Whoopi Goldberg is no different. (Ex hubby Tom sold her secret decades ago) On a personal level Whoopie tends to be truly conservative in political leanings but on shows like The Five....she is as liberal and loony as she needs to be because she is playing a role. (Nuts eh?....but that's Hollywood and showbusiness)
Relevancy is directly proportional to viewership. Truth? Nobody even cares about that. The truth is nuanced but boring as all get out. Lies? They can be as interesting as you can create them to be. After all...it is ALL about ratings/clicks.

When you encounter an opinion with which you disagree, and you blithely dismiss it as ignorance, you do a disservice both to yourself and to your argument.

It is much better to understand why somebody believes that opinion with which you disagree. Then you can more effectively refute it.

Take M... Uh... The commodore here. He disagrees with me about some things, and he believes my opinions are because of ignorance, because that belief maintains his smug self-assurance. He never has taken the time to understand why I believe what I believe. So he will never be able to argue me into believing what he believes.
Here's the thing about those who have a knee jerk reaction to the word, ignorant.

It should go without saying we as individuals have different opinions on any one topic.

However,it does no service to anyone to blithely write off an errant opinion as entitlement in and of itself. Not when that errant opinion is derived from incomprehension.

The only One Who is not ignorant is our Maker. All men are ignorant to some degree or another.

PS. Now stupid is another story entirely.

Or not. Yes, clickbait title. Who said old people can't learn from new things? The Roman Catholic organisation once blamed the Jews for killing Jesus. They have since repudiated this claim as being unjustifiable. However, not everyone agrees, including at least one on this forum.

I was shocked (another clickbait word). It is illogical, to say the least. Jesus died and rose again 2,000 years ago. It is not clear how many Jews were involved in the trial and certainly none carried out the death sentence. Why is no one abusing the Italians for killing Jesus? Germans have generally been forgiven for following Hitler who killed millions, Japan likewise. And WW2 is only 80 years ago.

The reason for antisemitism is simple. Israel is still God's nation. It was miraculously founded, miraculously survived the attack of 5 nations and miraculously endures today. 8 million Jews against 450 million Arabs and Turks. That's about the right odds for God to reveal His power.
Yep the Jews but GOD had a plan, he need for JESUS to be sin free and hung on the cross to be our lamb.

Who was the first ones to received the rebirth message?

Those same Jews who was responsibe for hanging him on the cross.

Acts 2:37-41
King James Version
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

But I always admire your cool and calm approach, Lynx. :)

It's easy when you don't know what's going on. ;)

(Okay, okay, I stole that one. It's a variation on the old line, "If you aren't worried, you haven't been paying attention." But I will go to my grave insisting my version is better.) :geek:

My sin caused Yeshua to be nailed to the cross. I'm guilty. Do we try to avoid responsibility by finger pointing?

Amen!! I think we have stopped singing the old hymns of the church that had our foundational doctrines embedded in them. Does anyone remember the song "He Was Nailed to the Cross for Me?" My sins held Him there. That is why the Passion of the Christ was so emotional to watch as actor Jim Caviezel played Jesus. He falls under the whipping and gets back up to take more punishment. My sins, He died for my sins, in my place. Thank you for pointing this out.

I didn't blame the current Jews for the murder of Jesus.

I also do not deny the 1st century Jews were responsible.
As we know because the Bible tells us this.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

“Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me (John 18:11)

John 10
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

More than one thing can be true at the same time. Jesus said He laid down His life, no one took it from Him. He willingly stayed on the cross to fulfill God's redemption plan. The religious Jewish leaders wanted Christ dead, we know that because they would try to trap Him with "gotcha" questions, and He disappeared in a crowd so He would not be taken by the religious leaders. And finally Jesus died for our sins, which Is. 53 is very clear that He bore our sins and stayed on the cross to save us from sin. To pinpoint all the Jews and call them guilty of deicide and put the death of Jesus on their backs and (some say) deserving of the Holocaust is simply wrong. Yes, the Jews have been chastised because they did not carry the Gospel to the world as they were supposed to do. But God still loves the Jewish people and is calling to them till this day.
