So I had this discussion with a friend last night, and he basically believes that you say a prayer, then sit on your hands and knees and do nothing until God answers said prayer. He also believes that fellowship and discipleship are "half-baked truths" and that if someone takes part in something like a men's study, the person isn't seeking God. I found this mind of shocking and disapppointing because we first met in a singles ministry for young adults. He was just talking talking about he wanted to go to Christmas Eve service but then turned around said those things.. So how would one minister to someone like this? Cause what he said really bothered me, and I couldn't fall back asleep after.

He sounds spiritually confused. Prayer, would be helpful.

there are many non denoms, We even have a charismatic non denom here in my city,,

Non denom is just a term for a church which broke away from denominational structure,

I do realize that and with the non denom I have been to it is apparent that there is no biblical structure at all! They are emergent. They cater to the world. The flock is not fed for fear of offending the seekers. Some of the elders in these churches will even say exactly what I just said! Its all about numbers and $$.
Id rather swim with the baby in the bath water and be armed to defend against the few errors I am aware of instead of being apart of the church that touts itself non denom,. Non denom has bred its own breed and it isnt a good thing.
Id rather to go a church where fire and brimstone are preached rather than watered down doctrine. But then, Im not a baby. I desire meat.
Non denom is a denomination ! Its gotten out of hand. I have witnessed far too many coming out of those churches that had absolutely NO evidence of regeneration. I have sat in far too many where I was aghast at what was going on or lack thereof.

Like I said, its just my opinion. We all have one:p.
Mine is based on my experiences.

Jut remember non denoms have no affiliation. So its hard to determine where their base is, Probably most of them are worldly. I would not doubt that at all..

Contrary to what some would have people believe, the Church at Jerusalem was not a Denomination Centered Church. It wasn't Catholic, Baptist, or any other denomination we have today..........but I'm pretty sure they were Scripture based and worshiped and loved God and followed the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

(just saying)
