I think it's something we take for granted, we make plans on plans on plans as if we can carry them out on our own, as if we can control tomorrow. Jesus said of the very birds of the air, none falls away apart from God's will (Matthew 10:39). He also gave the parable of the rich fool, who made a boast about how he wouldn't want for anything in his life ever not knowing that night he was going to die (Luke 12:16). The Bible calls that boasting in arrogance (James 4:16)
