It takes time for the site owner to process things. At worst it takes about a day, but usually should go faster than that.
He's the only one able to handle the process and he also has a wife and kids, etc...
He's also not in the US and therefore in a different time zone. If it doesn't work within 24 hours you can post a thread in the User2User section and someone should be able to let you know what to do next. Also the mod may see your new thread and respond himself.
