Just started taking Hydroxyzine at night to help me sleep. I read online that it causes dry mouth for like the first week and the side effect is supposed to go away.

The thing is not only have I been waking up with dry mouth but I’ve had the worst build up of stool in my colon the last two days that I had to use the restroom. I’m not going to go into detail but I’m concerned.

Have you tried psyllium husk? The kind I get I don't think is 100% natural even though it says that on the jar (it has some other stuff in it); but it's always worked great for me. It's about $15 at Walmart for a 23 oz. jar. I think they have a smaller jar too. I use the sugar free one and it tastes great.

I have found olive oil works well. A full teaspoon before bed every day.

>Vitality Capsules <

I don't get anything from sales of this or other supplements.
It's usually best to increase water to a gallon per day. Start the day with a quart and then between meals.
It won't harm to avoid sugar, processed food and grains/ gluten.
As for the drug that causes your problem, you'll need to talk to the prescribing MD.

Best to your health.

Substitute coconut oil for creamer in your coffee. I tried it once, not out of necessity or even being aware of any laxative component to it but just because it appealed to my sense of taste. I tasted so good I made another cup. :geek:
And it wasn't long before I doubled over like Dr Jekyll...

I hope that doc has been diligent about not causing you bigger problems than sleep.

Many people add a little bit of Magnesium to their water for dry digestion issues. Magnesium Citrate is the usual compound. If you look for it, try to find a version that doesn't contain aspartame or other harmful sweeteners.

I would try to avoid fried foods since frying drives out moisture.

That would be fine.
I'm here to be a blessing if there's anything I can contribute.
I will continue to post in the health forum as I don't want to take advantage of you. We seem to have extremely similar views on health, besides mental health prescriptions, I think.

I always love to hear your thoughts on these matters because I know how much research you do on these topics.

I don't mean to flatter you.
