Oh the Irony
Isaiah 48:3 “I have declared the former things [which happened to Israel] in times past; They went forth from My mouth and I proclaimed them;
Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
4 “Because I know that you are obstinate,
And your neck is an iron tendon
And your brow is bronze [both unyielding],
5 I have declared them to you long ago;
Before they came to pass I announced them to you,
So that you could not say, ‘My idol has done them,
And my carved image and my cast image have commanded them.’
6 “You have heard [these things foretold]; look at all this [that has been fulfilled].
And you, will you not declare it?
I proclaim to you [specific] new things from this time,
Even hidden things which you have not known.
I am not a part of ancient Israel and neither is anyone else in this thread. I am a Christian who has accepted Christ as their Savior ~ the substitutionary sacrificial lamb for the sin of the world. I am not under condemnation nor am I having to be afraid of what may come.
It seems your difficulty may lie in your impertinent comparisons between backslidden Israel and those now in covenant with the God of all creation through the blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In your apparent desire to be ahead of the curve of history, you will grasp at anything that even has a sprinkling of what might possibly, on a rare and hesitant day, be considered vaguely instructive in interpreting veiled and clouded prophecies by men who actually were called by God Almighty to be His voice among the backslidden.
Unlike those prophets though, your heart screams judgement, while the actual prophets voiced the desired repentance and a turning away from idol worship that God longed for.
How long will you pursue these apparitions of supposed understanding and knowledge?
It is not the Holy Spirit blowing on the sails of this leaking conspiracy and you are free to continue to disparage anyone who speaks truth and replace that truth with the conspiracies of those who love 'supposed hidden knowledge' as they esteem themselves able to pronounce the judgements of God who long ago did speak by His prophets of which neither yourself nor the authors of the conspiracies you aspire to are able to authenticate as true. Not now; now ever.
1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;
3Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
6They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made
others to hope that they would confirm the word. Ezekiel 13:3
