I haven't tried this recipe but I did come across something on the internet that said if you use dried tomato soup and coat the chicken in that and then fry it, it tastes exactly like KFC. Apparantly most of the spices are in that.

The president of the company that makes the cookers mentioned Tellicherry pepper is the pepper they use as it leaves a warm aftertaste.

I went to KFC yesterday.
- I had 2 piece combo meal.
- My favorite.

How KFC started..
- Interesting story. ( about Colonel, secret recipe, etc..)

Let us know how it turns out. :)

I used to love KFC but it's just not the same anymore, not to mention expensive these days. I'd love to be able to replicate the original recipe myself.
I remember back in the 70's KFC was absolutely delicious! It doesn't taste the same today. Are they skimping these days on those 11 herbs and spices in the original recipe? I do like their new spicy chicken sandwich. :)

This is about 1000 times better than KFC. It is the better version of Popeye's chicken sandwich. I just make the chicken as if it was just fried chicken. You can't beat it.

Mmmmmm yum
I have never heard of Popeye's. We dont have it here. Does it taste like/similar to KFC?

We have them here, I've never had it, I believe it is advvertised a "Louisiana fast" which to me means spicy.

I prefer my own recipe. Kfc used to be good but they changed up the cooking process. They also used to the drippings from the cooking procedure to mix in the gravy to make it. But now the gravy is a powder mix added to extremely hot water and whisked.
