Hello Vincent, you're welcome. I am also new here, so I guess we're on the same page.

Thanks for raising this discussion, Marryrose. Kind, confident, intelligent, God-fearing, prayerful and matching my wavelength are some things that are very important to me. I recently read these and found them helpful: bit.ly/2wz1d7Y and bit.ly/2NtIsKn. Blessings to you!

Considering as I haven't dated much, I don't have much authority on this topic. But I will say that being a devout Christian should be at the top of the list. God should be a priority over all other things, including work, relationships, and hobbies.
From my limited experience, I did date an atheist and was very close friends with an atheist. Needless to say, there is a very good reason God commands believers to be unyoked with unbelievers.

What adjustments did you do while dating an atheist? How did it go?

Sharing the same of love for Christ and pursing Him.

I think having non-negotiable and negotiable things would restrict yourself. Thats Just my opinion.
Some restrictions can be good things. They can keep you from getting hurt badly by the wrong person.

There are a few non-negotiables on my list... A very few...

Eh, it lasted about a week. And I never really emotionally connected to him. I mean, he was by no means a jerk, but our life goals and beliefs were very different. Our values were very different.
