Good point.
Jonah 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
He prayed from the whale's belly...NOT HELL.....keep making the word contradict itself.....does not speak well of honesty at all....
You really do work yourself up.and he prayed from the BELLY.....NOT HELL.......SUCH SIMPLE TRUTH REJECTED, EMBELLISHED AND THEN PEDDLED....SICKENING
I just love you guys coming over from that Not by Works Thread and spending time with us over here on the more interesting threads. Not enough new material over there? LOL.
Well stay and enjoy. You're welcome.
“Out of the belly of Sheol I cried,
And You heard my voice.
Nuff said Migo.
And yet you compare jonah to Jesus who knows no sin....You cant compare to Daniel. Daniel was righteous and standing in faith (and God protected Daniel and his friends). Jonah on the other hand was put into God's judgement. God sent the fish to kill Jonah. The only thing that helped Jonah was to call out to God, for His Mercy from Sheol. Which he did, and God relented. That is clear from the passage. The Pit refers to Sheol (you asked above).
Do you have to do that to make your dog smile?
Yes I agree good to visit and leave the
Not By Works thread on occasion .. where the OP @dcontroversal is right on the money and visit the other nonsensical threads.makes me realize a good thing all the more.

Jesus did the comparisonAnd yet you compare jonah to Jesus who knows no sin....
Jonah’s prayer came from the whale after three days and three nights. Notice the “verbiage.”
Last verse in chapter 1
17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Chapter 2 continues...
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
I cried, past tense, by reason of my affliction. Jonah’s looking back at what he’s experienced. Hell.
It is you that need to awaken and not choose to ignore what is stated in Matthew 12.Listen pal....the bible expressively states that JESUS died.....IT does not say JONAH DIED and spent three days in hell....wake up....
Your dog loves you. I can see that.no, but it might help with your smile
have you tried it?
Your dog loves you. I can see that.
For the Anti-Works clan, you sure have done a lots of Works on that thread trying to sell "Not by Works"

Not hardly John.....and what you just posted proves my point....
HE prayed from the WHALE'S BELLY which he compares to the BELLY OF HELL <---the LATTER statement INDICATIVE of Christ....your lack of contextual honesty is appalling....we're done....JESUS will correct you when you stand before him
But you still hang out here LOL.I was right about nonsensical.
