my view is that if you want to join an army there is no point joining any eccept israels due to the prophecies in revelation.
what do others think about this any why?
im one of those crazy conspiracy nutters that think most of the worlds wars are pointless and manipulated into play by satan to increase human suffering and death.

And on a side note if there is any Americans that have seen that blasphemous speech about how irrelevant the bible is by Obama what did you think about it? The one where he said "folks havent been reading their bibles"

I have seen the video many times, the one you mentioned . I don't like it.

And the world actions you see are moving the world into a one world system. it picked up pace when Israel became a nation, and with the united nations. Also you have power concentrating in the hands of a few people. You know, the who's who of political and economic elites , get together to have meetings on world affairs . It's all moving to a one world system; many of the worlds economies already effect each other.

And these wars. are all part of the plan. The enemy of God, are actually fulfilling the negative part of God's plan just nicely. The whole purpose is to set the stage for Antichrist ( a.k.a Satan ). So these things will be. We just have to be smart enough to weave in an out without getting hurt by the whole affair . If we are smart and Know God's word, we can come out on top. Even if the world is going to pot.

But they all don't matter. Those are just the tentacles . We want to go after the head. That is at the pulpit of false teachers around the world trying to mislead God's people into total biblical illiteracy. That is the real problem. We have to be familiar with God's word, and spread the truth of Christ to lost people: those who don't know Christ as their savior.

I came to know Jesus Christ while serving in the US Navy and took my first steps in following him there, too. It was a great training ground. Friends of Israel, such as the US, have a great destiny in history. The US military is not like any other military force in the world. In most countries, people your age struggle to avoid conscription, while the all-volunteer US military rejects applicants. I don't know you very well, but sense that enlisting in the US armed forces might be a step up for you. It was for me. Consider it prayerfully.

There is nothing new under the sun. The only army I want to belong to is the Lord's army. This army doesn't not fight with man made weapons, but the sword of the Spirit. Thus I'm not at war with men, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph. 6:12

well actually, that is up to you. There is no sin, in serving your country . The US may be going through a bad time, but its still good to serve the people of the country, even though, the leaders are not really representing our interest right now. Its your call. It's good work. I don't see anything wrong with it. It depends on how you conduct yourself when there i guess. following the rules and all. God's rules first. But, nothing wrong with even fighting in the army etc. etc etc . not my area of knowledge. there is a right and wrong way to go about anything. I guess even when serving in the military. My pastor was a marine and fought in the Korean war.

As a Christian, I don't think we should join the army.
It's not a group of Christians serving God.
It's a group of young men and women who follow orders and kill whoever they are told to kill.

Jesus' Army = is a separate and peculiar army/group of soldiers)... they will do whatever
they are Commanded to do against the enemies of Jesus and His FAMILY,
as He leads their hearts and minds...

Why are you replying to a thread that was started 4 years ago and had it's most recent reply(before yours) the same day as it was started?

In addition to that, the person who started the thread last visited this website April 11th, 2013(less than 2 months after starting the thread), so it would seem it may be some time(if ever) before he'll being seeing your reply.

And the purpose of your remark?
If a thread is relevant to someone, should they not be allowed to comment on it?
I would really like for you to answer my questions here.

It seems to me I've just got a response from 3 people who would rather start trouble for me, make fun of me, and prove they have nothing worth while to say to me.

Here's a question for all 3 of you.
What is your purpose in life?
Please, enlighten us all.

Barry was very anti-bible/truth and he was also a Muslim (his book states as much).....agree with your view on most wars....and as a Marine....I have thought about volunteering for the IDF at one time or another.....

I would disagree with you on this as i know quite a few Christians, including my dad who is a pastor and joined during the time of the Veinam war, who have joined the armed forces. The armed forces are not just about killing. There are quite a few non Christians in the armed forces who dont wanna kill either. Some join for educational reasons. Some join for financial reasons. There are many other reasons people have joined the armed forces. To "label" everyone in the armed forces as "blind killers" i feel is wrong. I greatly respect those who have joined the armed forces, in any country, due to the plain fact that if needed they are willing to put their own life on the line to protect others, even those in other countries other than their own.

Now yes there are some who join for the "killing" reason but we cannot say that about all who join the armed forces. I do respect your reservations about joining but, again, you cannot label everyone the same way. Are all Baptists like Westboro? No, you just cannot "blanket label" as you are basically doing here.
