Jezebel Queen of False Prophets and the Jezebel Spirit

Inspired by a digression elsewhere in the forum as well as a recurring theme that just pops up generally in the modern day America I figured I will take another stab at making a topic here. Last time we tried to explore Mary, the greatest of all women to ever live, but this actually surprisingly proved controversial since people associate Mary with the Catholics. This time we'll try another angle. We'll examine the Bible's very most evil woman and also what is called the Jezebel Spirit. There is alot of interest in the younger generations in the Jezebel Spirit particularly among Protestants. So right off the rip this topic is not an endorsement of Protestantism, Jezebel and the Jezebel Spirit are not intellectual property of the Protestants. In the wider social discourses the Jezebel Spirit has become a popular subject lately due to the elections and the egregious person of Kamala Harris and her incredibly evil supporters whom embody the Jezebel Spirit to a tee. We have even seen that the Jezebel Spirit is one that is particularly at odds with the true Christians as it is that the Jezebel Spirit is the driving force behind the thoughts of the fake Christans and fake Christianity that is so hated by God and so prevalent in our incredibly cursed society today. So let us jump right into it by starting with the verses about the Jezebel Spirit and afterwards in the days to come we will begin to then explore the historical person that is Jezebel the Queen of False Prophets.

Revelation 2:18-23

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

Historical Jezebel is a villain in the Bible primarily in the Book of Kings. The first introduction to Jezebel is in the context of Ahab becoming king of Israel in the days of the two kingdoms of Judah and Israel. Jezebel is not an Israelite, and it is noted that she is of the race of the Sidonians, a Canaanite race, that at this time was powerful in controlling Lebanon the famous city of which they ruled in antiquity being Tyre. Jezebel is in fact a secular historical figure as well because she is as the Bible notes the daughter of Ethbaal (or Ithobaal III in secular history). It is noted she is a pagan worshipper of the false god Baal. While Israel had fallen into idolatry before this due to Jeroboam creating two golden calf idols and proclaiming these idols to be gods, Jezebel represents a uniquely distinct new threat spiritually with her false religion in that it is a foreign import, it is the pagan religion and false god that is native to the Canaanites. This is also a controversial aspect since it is the woman's religion, it is Jezebel's evil ways and influences and evil spirit that prevails over the man, an evil spirit that is feminine and seeks to lead and makes an army of simple men do her bidding. We see that this is a large factor in the prophets pronouncing Ahab to be the most wicked king in the sight of Lord God.

1 Kings 16:30-33

30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him.

31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

Is there any indication in the Bible that the Jezebel in the old testament or the Jezebel mentioned in the new testament were somehow connected to a spirit of the same name? No.

Jesus said when a man lusts for a woman in his heart, he already has committed adultery with her.
Using this teaching, we could assume this Jezebel was acting/dressing to cause young men to lust after her.
It is possible that she was speaking to these men in a way that seemed prophetic or be above board, but actually promoted lust.
This happens more in churches than we realize. It could be a Sunday school teacher, a youth leader, etc., who knows in her heart that young men fancy her, & she has decided to enjoy & promote it.
Churches allow this all the time, sometimes because it's the pastor/elder's son/daughter, & people are afraid to speak up.

While some call it a Jezebel spirit, it IS a spirit-influenced situation to bring destruction in the church.
All some people have done here is put a name on something that DOES exist.

Why not? It signifies a certain attitude and a certain relationship to false gods and false prophets. It includes (1) intense hatred for the godly even to the point of wanting them dead, (2) intense love for false gods and false prophets, (3) a deliberate attempt to corrupt others, and (4) sacrificing to idols (which are in fact demons).

Every one of these is embodied in Kamala Harris, who fervently desires to kill all babies, even after they are born. That would be sacrificing to Moloch, and the Satanic temple in the USA has openly declared that abortions are sacrificial rituals to the devil. Everything coming out of Harris's mouth is a lie in order to corrupt the thinking of simple-minded low-information voters who actually believe her. and believe that Communism is good for America. She has committed fornication with Willie Brown, and who knows who else. She has deliberately chosen a liar and a Communist to be her VP.

It is only by God's grace that Trump has been spared twice. So as Jezebel paid for her sins, so will Kamala, in order to make way for Trump.

Again, this is not an endorsement of those particular branches of Protestantism. Though I suppose if there is interest that you may go ahead and post any Protestant videos about this, as there are many lately. For my part I am more interested in what the Bible says and so I will focus on examining the Bible's verses about Jezebel. So we already see a line of the possibilities here; perhaps there is no Jezebel Spirit, perhaps there is a demon named Jezebel, perhaps historical Jezebel was under the control of a demon, perhaps it is a case of there is no demon but Jezebel's own personal spirit became warped through sin, is the Jezebel Spirit really just a metaphor for someone who has a personality like Jezebel, or perhaps there is another alternative theory. These are all interesting questions and ideas that you all bring up we will indeed keep in mind and revisit as we go to the next logical step which is to examine what we know with certainty by looking at the character of the historical and biblical person that is Jezebel whom is most certainly real proven by both secular science/history as well as the Bible.

So we move on to the next portion of what the Bible says about historical Jezebel, but your thoughts are not forgotten, we will revisit these after we have fleshed out this portion of the Bible study, and until then feel free to comment and discourse as you like.

Now for context we were last introduced to Jezebel and we learn that she is a princess and she is of both a foreign race and religion to the Israelites. Not only is she regarded as evil for being a non-Christian, but her false religions is uniquely a foreign import as well. We also see Jezebel holds influence over her husband Ahab whom indulges her pagan religion and establishes temples and groves to her false god. As a result the true prophet Elijah, a heroic man of God, pronounces God's curse on the land that it will not rain and so famine sets in and Elijah goes into hiding from the evil queen. As Ahab and his government advisor Obadiah are scouring the dearth-stricken land to find grazing ground for their cattle the prophet Elijah appears to the steward Obadiah asking for an audience with Ahab. Obadiah though he works for Ahab's government he is a good man. Obadiah is a good man but he is not as bold in the faith as Elijah, and when Elijah asks Obadiah to summon Ahab, Obadiah responds exasperatedly that he fears that God will carry Elijah away and Ahab will punish him. In the midst of this Obadiah justifies himself by giving us a little insight into the regime of Jezebel and what she has been up to. We find out that not only is Jezebel a foreigner and a pagan and that this is regarded as highly evil just to tolerate and promote her false religion, but as is so often the case it is never about just toleration of their evil false rleigions, but that there is also the aspect of persecuting the true religion and the true followers of the true religion of Christianity. Though she is just mentioned in passing we see that Jezebel has actually turned to hunting down the true prophets of the only true God. Here we see Obadiah is somewhat meekly heroic as he has been undermining Jezebel's regime by hiding the prophets and their families in a cave and providing them with food right under Jezebel's nose. Elijah reassures meek Obadiah that he will indeed meet Ahab today and Obadiah overcomes his fear and does as he is bid and summons Ahab. Ahab's attitude towards Elijah is petulant and he calls Elijah the "troubler of Israel" yet Elijah points out that no, rather Ahab and his evil wife are the troublers of Israel because they tolerate the false religions and the false gods. So Elijah issues a challenge to bring forth the false prophets of baal and the false prophets that serve Jezebel the Queen of False Prophets which we will leave you on cliffhanger for now and cover next time.

1 Kings 18:7-20

7 And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art thou that my lord Elijah?

Elijah the heroic man of God issues a challenge to Ahab to assemble the false prophets. Here we see what sort of people Jezebel associates with, promotes, and defends. We also get some insight into the religion of Jezebel which she promotes and pushes on to the people to confuse them. We see that Jezebel's false god is impotent while the true God is full of power. Elijah takes the false prophets after their false god fails to show up, and he puts them to death as they deserve. Remember the justice that Elijah did to the false prophets for we will see Jezebel's evil reaction to this next time.

Amazing grace from God to us all through one person God man the only true Son of God, Jesus for us all to be born new by God himself in risen Son, that one stands in belief to this truth, thank you

Well where we last left off Elijah the true prophet confronted the false prophets of Jezebel. Though we didn't see Jezebel directly, we saw her false prophets and what manner of people they are. The type of people Jezebel defends and supports are pagans and wizards, they worship a lie. They were so bent on deceiving the people and so convinced of the lie that they even began to cut themselves to offer their own blood to try to make their nonexistent false god answer them. For certainty worshipping a false god is a sin worthy of death in the Bible, as is trying to entice other people to worship the false god. So we see Elijah is justified in his carrying out the sentence by putting all of Jezebel's prophets to death. Even Ahab, though he is an incredibly wicked man, is impressed by this event does not harm Elijah and listens to him as Elijah declares the end of the famine and races him down the mountain before the rains start.

We keep this all in mind as Ahab returns to Jezebel and tells her everything that happened. We now get a direct quote from Jezebel, her own words, and they tell us about her. Though a great miracle was performed in even the sight of her husband, Jezebel doesn't even regard this at all. Jezebel is upset because the wicked false prophets were brought to justice. Jezebel is a defender of the wicked and a hater of the good. We see her devotion to her pagan religion as she swears a solemn vow in the name of her gods to kill Elijah. In her swearing she even vows up her life to try to kill Elijah. This prompts Elijah to deeply defy her and her false gods more by simply escaping. Elijah, thinking he is the last believer of God, wishes for God to let him die so that Jezebel's oath cannot ever come true. God reassures Elijah and sends the angels and the ravens to sustain him and reassures him that there at least 7000 truly faithful people left in Israel.

Once again Jezebel and her false gods are defied, but of course take notice of her character, and we see this alot in the present day where the the followers of Jezebel are very quick to defend the wicked, todefend the pagans, to defend sexually immoral, to defend foreigners invading their lands, but they are very quick to vilify the good people. They make all excuses for the most evil people, and they bristle with rage and slanders at the people who are actually good and point out that the wicked deserve to be put to death. Is it really the good people that they hate, or is it like with Jezebel that really they just hate God? Jezebel's words are brief but they show you alot about their spirit and their agenda and whose side they are really on. This is their nature, the nature of Jezebel.

1 Kings 19:1-19

1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.

6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

17 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

...we see this a lot in the present day where the the followers of Jezebel are very quick to defend the wicked, to defend the pagans, to defend sexually immoral, to defend foreigners invading their lands, but they are very quick to vilify the good people.

Well where we last left off Elijah the true prophet confronted the false prophets of Jezebel. Though we didn't see Jezebel directly, we saw her false prophets and what manner of people they are. The type of people Jezebel defends and supports are pagans and wizards, they worship a lie. They were so bent on deceiving the people and so convinced of the lie that they even began to cut themselves to offer their own blood to try to make their nonexistent false god answer them. For certainty worshipping a false god is a sin worthy of death in the Bible, as is trying to entice other people to worship the false god. So we see Elijah is justified in his carrying out the sentence by putting all of Jezebel's prophets to death. Even Ahab, though he is an incredibly wicked man, is impressed by this event does not harm Elijah and listens to him as Elijah declares the end of the famine and races him down the mountain before the rains start.

We keep this all in mind as Ahab returns to Jezebel and tells her everything that happened. We now get a direct quote from Jezebel, her own words, and they tell us about her. Though a great miracle was performed in even the sight of her husband, Jezebel doesn't even regard this at all. Jezebel is upset because the wicked false prophets were brought to justice. Jezebel is a defender of the wicked and a hater of the good. We see her devotion to her pagan religion as she swears a solemn vow in the name of her gods to kill Elijah. In her swearing she even vows up her life to try to kill Elijah. This prompts Elijah to deeply defy her and her false gods more by simply escaping. Elijah, thinking he is the last believer of God, wishes for God to let him die so that Jezebel's oath cannot ever come true. God reassures Elijah and sends the angels and the ravens to sustain him and reassures him that there at least 7000 truly faithful people left in Israel.

Once again Jezebel and her false gods are defied, but of course take notice of her character, and we see this alot in the present day where the the followers of Jezebel are very quick to defend the wicked, todefend the pagans, to defend sexually immoral, to defend foreigners invading their lands, but they are very quick to vilify the good people. They make all excuses for the most evil people, and they bristle with rage and slanders at the people who are actually good and point out that the wicked deserve to be put to death. Is it really the good people that they hate, or is it like with Jezebel that really they just hate God? Jezebel's words are brief but they show you alot about their spirit and their agenda and whose side they are really on. This is their nature, the nature of Jezebel.

1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

In terms of Jezebel Spirit, perhaps it doesn't exist, or perhaps it is more like a metaphor for people that behave like Jezebel. Perhaps it is an actual spirit, perhaps Jezebel the person was under the influence of a demon due to her pagan religion. There's a quite a few possibilities here, and I figure first I will establish all the biblical verses about Jezebel to get a good grasp of historical person Jezebel. We're about halfway through all the mentions of Jezebel so after that if you all wish to continue the topic you may post videos and teachings and sermons about the Jezebel Spirit, modern day examples of people that have traits of Jezebel, and so on.

Well certainly don't let them into our land! It is perhaps another topic, but indeed, the Bible is clear that we're not really to fellowship with the pagans, there is no real friendship between God and the house of idols. We're in competing kingdoms you see, we're in two totally different armies that are against eachother. Yes, this portion of the Bible is very ancient in history, and yet even into the modern day the themes remain the same as well as of course the Book of Revelation's portion about Jezebel indicating a sort of future application and a reason to study the historical person of Jezebel in order to understand the passage better.
