They would really freak out if you told them some Christians don't use health care at all and instead trust the Lord for their health and live happy healthy lives due to Jesus taking sickness and disease upon His body at the Cross to provide a way for His people to not have to have sickness and disease.

Lots of rich people end up dying and they can afford to buy the best health care possible and all their wealth is useless when they die anyway. There's many things money cannot fix.

Sadly, very few Christians accept God's Word on health / healing and won't stand on His promises for their health and rather than trusting the wisdom of God they instead trust in the failing wisdom of man and end up being sick more times than not.

There are strings attached to free services. If you don't bow down and obey the government, they'll cut you off.

Christians are called to serve the Lord, not government.
Government stays out of peoples lives here. I report to Immigration every 90 Days, to confirm my Address. Takes 15 Minutes. The Immigration Official always asks the same Question. "Are You Happy, Here In Thailand"? Im not kidding. If anyone needs anything they go through their Village Elders and they get the Government to fix what ever. Thats how things work here. They Trust God Here. They know His care and Blessings. They talk to Him, but dont think of Him as a "Him". They call Him "Who Ever You Are". I tell them His Name and Witness The Gospel. It makes a lot of Sense to them. They smile when I speak about Gods Love for Them In Christ. I was Ordained in the US. Ive witnessed many Church Fights over the Last 47 Years. They can keep it. All I have to Give In Jesus. Thats all I care about. The Villagers asked me about the Evil Spirits that Lived on this Property. No one would come near it. God Cleaned it out as I came here. Everyone Loves to come to our Farm for Lunch and Gaze at the Beauty. They tell my Thai Wife that I am Special and thia Land was waiting for me. They call me "The Falang". My Wife was at a Funeral for her Aunt a few weeks ago. My MIL was there. A woman froma Village almost 60K from here was Talking to my MIL about, The Falang. How he works hard and changes the land for good. My MIL Laughed and Pointed to my Wife and said in Thai "That is Oys Husband, My Son Inlaw". My Wifes Thai Name is Oy. All The Women Laughed.

Have you tried to discuss with the locals on how America prides itself as being the "freest" nation in the world and then go ahead and list the things you can't do but other countries can?
It can make for a fun table conversation. :D
Do you know What the Word "Thai" means in Thai? It means Freedom. The name of this country is "Freedom Land". It used to be The Kingdom Of Siam. The King Of Siam got saved and set the people free and changed the name of the country. Everyone here can do anything they want. They are not restricted. They are free er than people in the US. I am Too. This is so Funny to me. People are very Happy here. They call it "The Land Of Smiles" for a reason.

Wow. After being outside the US for over Six Months a lot of Brain Washing has washed off. I didnt realize just how The Forces at Work in the US were Blinding me. The Stress was Crazy. Ive been living on a farm in Northern Thailand. Thai people are very Loving and simplistic. All I can say Is, WOW. You should see the US from the outside. I can understand why other people, in other Cultures say what they say about Americans. Life is Tough in the US.
Many islamists call the US "the great Satan". I agree.
If Americans really knew that their nation is the New Atlantis & who/what the original patriots were, they would leave too.

I heard they had the death penalty for illegal drugs.

If true, they probably don't have a big problem with drug addicts
There is not a "Big Problem" with Drug Addicts here. Like anywhere else, there are "Hawks" and "Doves" on this subject. Hawk Voice is very loud at times. The Golden Triangle is not far from where I live. The Military keeps all that in Check. Yes, The Death Penalty is enforced for Drugs. Personally, Ive never seen Drug use, even when Im in Bangkok. The Biggest problem is Alcoholism. Most Thai men dont live to 60. Ag Chemicals, Cancer and Home Made Booze. My wife and I went to "Temple" in her original Village 30K from our farm. We have a House in the Family Compound there in Wiangsa. This "Big Budda Day" as they call it, is to Memorialize Dead Loved ones. That same day they have "Long Boat Races". on the Nan River, Big thing here. At Temple, I saw Hundreds of Women and Children of all ages and not many men aside from the Monks. After we got home I asked my Wife, if all the men stayed home, because I didnt see many at Temple. She said "They All Dead". "Thai Men Dont Live Long". I was shocked. We went back to our house for a Party. My Wifes High School Class is still very Close and Gathers regularly. We cooked a whole pig and all the women cooked Amazing Thai Foods. We were sitting around a Big Table(our house there is Big), everyone was talking Thai. It was the first time they met me. My wife was translating for me. I noticed everyone was staring at me Dumbfounded. It was creepy. Total silence for 2 minutes. All of the sudden one of my wifes friends(A music Teacher) Blurts out in Perfect English "Is He A Christian"? I calmly took over and gave my Testimony and how Christs Death on the cross Re Incarnated me while still alive and Put His "Merit" upon me forever. Then they spoke more English. My wife explain why they were so Shocked. She said "They Thought You Were 54 Years Old Like Them". "I Told Them You Are 65". They think the only explanation for a man to look as young as you do and be so Old is That Christ Does This". My wife and I were the Only Christians there. They are all Buddhists. We never talked about Jesus with them before.

I think thats Funny. I had to study Islam. I dont think any Country is a "Great Satan". I think many Countries have surrendered to Sin. I do understand what the Bible means when it speaks of Babylon and its System. "The Harlot Who Sits On The Dragon". "The City That Sits on 7 Hills". Even the Thessalonian Church thought they missed Rapture and were living in the 7 years of Tribulation.

I'm glad to see that your move has enriched your Bible understanding too @resto.
This is directly linked to the topic of Salvation which is a favorite topic among American Protestant circles.

The common reaction in U.S. is that when someone doesn't agree with your interpretation, you're going straight to Hell. :D

Well I will not comment on the straight to hell part, there is only one way to be saved so it is not open to various interpretations.

Yup. I hated that about Denominational Separation in The American Churches. I get along with all of them though. Maybe because My Mom was "Pentecostal Holiness", my Dad was Baptist. Yeah my Moms Fam were "Hill Folk" Snakes and all. When I was 6 my Mom took me to Baptist Church in the early 60s. I didnt accept Christ until I was in The Marines. But they move you around so I sat under many Good Preachers, even Calvary Chapel, before I left the US.

I know how the culture works so i understand your point of view.
This is why people are unable to answer where babies go if they didn't do some technical thing based on their interpretation.

On the second statement agree, it is extremely sad that people have bought into a framework that they cannot answer where babies go upon death.

There is such a thing as objective truth, please do not cloud the issue by bringing in culture, truth and culture are separate.

People of diverse cultures all over the world can testify to the plan of salvation on an experiential level and how it is taught in scripture in complete agreement.

Your dedication in faith is what's admirable, but as far as your interpretation you're completely wrong because if you travel ... say ... a 8 hour plane ride away from your location, you would know that your interpretation is not the correct one.
You will see that people don't interpret spiritual matters as technical matters but like i said, what matters is your faith.
As far as where people go, i don't make that call. That's only up to God.

What is "faith?"

Well, I am just trying to understand is your view faith, obviously it is something you regard as important since you brought it up, so seems to me you have a personal understanding.

If you do not want to converse on this, that is fine, my experience from being on CC I have so benefited from having my ideas and beliefs tested, I have learned a lot, realized where my beliefs did not line up with scripture which was such a blessing.

Meh, to the people who have no argument and get personal and tell me to "look in the mirror" or call me anti-Semitic I feel very sure of the work I have invested to get to the facts so I move past them.

There is something to be said to have a firm grasp on certain topics. I really have a very narrow knowledge of the Bible but what I know to be TRUTH has been tested and retested and always come up as true.

I am in a lot of ways like you and i've mentioned it before.
I am also here to look at edifying messages and learn something new and ignore the rest.
"The rest" is basically 90% of the stuff, which is basically exactly the same in all Protestant groups or similar ways of thinking or understanding Scripture or Theology.
However, in regards to Salvation alone, there has been only 3 (Protestant) people here who they've said something similar to my understanding of Salvation (which is Theosis) which make me think and re-evaluate my position and understanding of Scripture.
I have added their message in my Bookmarks and i go back to them from time to time.

But like i said, most of the time i know where conversations go because it's been done before. Many many times.

I try not to Interpret anything. I Translate from Original Language. My Wife Speaks Spain Spanish, British English, Nan Lao and Bangkok Thai. I Understand British English and Mexico Spanish. My English is from the USA. My Wife never Interprets for me, she Translates. That means that I must also study culture to understand The application of certain words in context. My Wife doesnt use the Bathroom, she "Goes To The Luew". Pretty Clear to me. Beyond that I rely on The Holy Spirit to Teach me and Guide me in Relationships. That is the Key, because Salvation is Relationship. Im not a True Born Son, Im adopted, Grafted In a "Wild Olive Branch".

In my Prior Vocation I had to work with State Department Translators. I worked with Military from Many Nations. I was warned to "Never Try To Interpret". Which Begs some Questions. Was Enoch "Translated" or "Interpreted"? Eligha, Translated or Interpreted? Me at Rapture? I prefer Translation. Interpret that any way you want.
