You're welcome to your own opinions, as we all are.

My whole life, people have said, "Why do you bother being friends with so-and-so?" (not just about Lynx, but about my real-life friends too.)

But I am very thankful for my friends. They are the kind of people, who, if I were down to my last dime due to my own bad decisions, they would come to pick me up wherever I was and help me get back on my feet.

And I wouldn't trade my friends for anything or anyone.

So glad to have you back, Lanolin! :)

You don't have to keep telling me what I already know...about myself. ie. a fat person already knows they are fat, they don't need others telling them so. Kind of like that.

I know I am Lanolin because that's my name. Why would I not know this. Stating the obvious!

Yea you make me smile Seoul, though with Lynx I have this sort of primal reaction that he's going to get his claws into me or something. I don't know why, I just do.

My friends are not all yes people, actually my sister is one of my biggest who helps me see reason.

I think with Lynx and you, it's just a case of iron sharpening iron..but with me, it's like I dunno, he's very grating. Maybe its because I am more like cheese.

One thing I have realised about my circle of friends is that some are true, and some are just saying things to please me or pretending. Because the amount of addicts I know is a bit alarming. It may also be a case of..the blind leading the blind.

One of my bible study ladies put it like following God was like having a candle in a dark path. But ok it's not always going to be dark and tunnel. Sometimes God just lights up the whole place. I want to be like that.

I'm probably not in real life, maybe I'm just a glow worm in the scheme of things.
 
Also maybe the population of NZ is just too small to have any kind of perspective? Like if I lived in a bigger country, I might not make such broad assumptions. Though I live in a cosmopolitan city and am not a hick from the provinces, maybe people just view nzers as like these naive noobs.

As a woman, also its like when men call you 'baby' and well, I am NOT a baby. I protest. Even though it's supposed to be a term of endearment.

I think it's the men who like to be called 'baby' and to be babied. The amount of romantic songs that are about actual babies is...?

Tell me if Amy Grant was singing about Jesus when she sang her 'Baby Baby' song.

How many 'romantic' songs or love songs are really lullabies meant for babies?

Well there's also "Santa Baby."

Only the Eartha Kitt version. She had a smooth voice. The Madonna version sounded too pouty and prissy for me.

I did not know Madonna sang it. Maybe everyone sang it at some point.

I know Kylie Minogue sang it.
Eartha Kitt was the original.

Madonna could never be Catwoman. She's more like cougar.

I don't kill spiders, but I do kill flies. Spiders kill flies too.

If I didn't kill flies, they would fly into my mouth when I'm older, and I might die.
