Half a man? He would be a whole man with all his ribs! I'm sure he would find something to do with his time having dominion over the entire earth and all.
There's no emotional or spiritual benefit that you can get from being married that you can't get from your Christian brothers and sisters. Marriage is of the flesh. This is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh... therefore, a man shall cleave from his mother and father and cleave unto his wife and the two shall become one flesh. Of course it is holy, and sanctified, and symbolic of spiritual things. But would you call Jesus "half a man"? Or was Paul, in his demonstrating the longsuffering of Christ "half a man"? Indeed it is not good for man to be alone, but that doesn't mean it's not good for him to be single!

I am 43 and still happily single. Are you staying my life has no purpose? No, not half a man with a missing rib, half a man as in not whole in a fulfilling way, a depressed man from lonliness, a man whose whole life revolves around an empty lonely home,, a man with no real purpose except to just work and just exist. A man with dead heart. It's great if you can stand being single, but I can't anymore.
Of all days to run out of popcorn.....
I've never seen a cat eat anything that didn't have a mother before.

If this is what you are saying, and if by some strange chance you are correct, please don't tell my grandmother. Or my dog. Or my music collection. Or the church where I am a minister. Or a lot of other people who are a factor in my life, as I am a factor in their lives. Or any of the other things I take joy in.
And please definitely don't tell chocolate. My precious chocolate would be heartbroken.
Whatsoever state you find yourself in be CONTENT!
Three marriages,1psycho2 cheaters.
It is good to be single!
Single 16 yrs now w/o the worry or bother of another to share my space, mess up things I'm passionate about, nor coerce me under their will!
Age brings much contentment with life and has the ability to truly help us see ourselves w/ o a veneer!
60 plus and many times I find myself saying" if I'd have just known then what I know now"

But... I feel for you and am sorry you didn't have the kind of marital experience a more Godly spouse would have given you. But, you're obviously able to not let it ruin you. You're finding happiness in life with what it has given you. That's a skill, IMO.
