I would try a little lidocaine on a q tip. You can get it over counter now. I just don't understand why down into the neck though. Unless it's referred pain, because that is what itch really is.

The OP's diet/ lifestyle is not condusive to good health, by her own admission. This is not specific to her, although of course she is the focus here.
A lot of people, in fact most Americans, are in the same catagory.
i keep saying it; when you are young and up until your mid to late 40"s to late 50's, early 60's you see not many symptoms. Then the body begins to systemically break down, and all sorts of common and uncommon manifestations begin to pop up.
If she goes the way of most she will probably experience more and more nagging minor symptoms, which are really nothing more then the bodies call for help.
Still, after counseling hundreds of people, seeing that only about 15% only truly alter the core issues of what is ailing them, and judging by the comments of not usually going the natural route, it probably is a slow downhill decline.
Maybe her reading this will instigate a deeper understanding of what the word says regarding this, but again many, most actually, Christians are ignorant on this subject. Which just boogies my mind.
Many non Christians have a better grasp of this then we do.
Well, I just pray that the blind open their eyes and heed wisdom. Proverbs says those that don't are fools. But praise God, even when it seems like a waste of time we can not accurately gauge what effect our prayers have, even if in the natural they seem to have no impact.

Too much of a klutz to dare sticking something that long is in there. My luck, I'd sneeze, see the needle come out the other ear, and discover how many cobwebs really are in my head. lolHi Depleted...Have you ever had your inner ear washed right down to the canal...The reason i say this is because if you have a bacteria inside , the ear drops etc whatever you are using or have used may still not be clearing the debris away so it remains alive...My sister use to be a great knitter, and every now and then i would catch her guiding that long knitting needle into her ear to relieve the itch lol, please note i am not suggesting you go and get a knitting needle...xox...

My guess, (I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV), is the neck itches, because the real itch is behind the ear drum and it's slid into a sinus cavity. But, if it's an infection, something bigger should have happened by now, or it should have gone away.

Ambesol? I dont' know. Lidocaine is frequently used in the hospital. A numbing effect.
Have you had a ct scan? That should show the problem.

My daughter sells Herbal Life vitamins. And I use the facial products too. All together helps with aging..and those nasty wrinkles.
As soon as I take the vitamin and another pill that is supposed to enhance it somehow...I feel better. More alert and more energy.

Have you considered candida overgrowth? That can cause itching in ears. Do you know what an ear candle is? I've been using ear candles on my Mr a couple times a yr for several years. They are harmless, provided you use them correctly, (don't catch your hair on fire, etc) If there is a yeast infection it will show up as a white powdery substance drawn out by the candle. The candle uses gentle suction to draw out wax build up. You can find them at herb shops/online. They help my husband's wax build up when dr rinsing did not. But if it is candida you will have to address that to get true relief, the candles will only relieve symptoms.
I've solved an infected tooth that made my tongue start to lose feeling on the left side with nano particle colloidal silver. If there is an infection inside and antibiotics haven't helped the silver might. It kills many antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria as well as fungus. Drink one ounce three times a day for three days and you can put a few drops in the ear as well. If it hasn't helped by then it probably won't. Best brand to buy is Sovereign Silver. That brand used as stated will not cause Argyria. I used a similar brand at three ounces a day for ten days with the only effect being the healing of my tooth.
You do know that if you ingest too much, there's a risk of your skin turning blue? I would never take an oz. of that.
For me it is sad you do not care for natural health remedies, and that is your choice. Last month, i have seen my ENT, where i remembered to ask abt itchies there inside. Personally i thot its cause may be fungal, as i gathered from some previous readings, but i still asked and he said those are usually allergic. I happen to have discovered a local herbal medicine encyclopedia at my parents' house, and reviewing stuff. Stuff i never really grew up with, but now am finding to be helping a lot of locals who grew up with the plants and grasses around which God gave from the start. Who'd have thot that sugarcane was medicinal (well i never did), and cogon grass, hibiscus, roses etc.
I think it was in college when i read from a flower preservation book abt roses being eaten fresh or made into sweets or teas (not just the rose hips i knew before), and i was really like Yes?? and until now i havent tried to eat or drink a rose any how. (It does take time to learn these or make them a part of us=) If you know abt the santan flowers, we used to pull the pistil from the small flowers and drink the drop of nectar that came out. But i did not know the flowers themselves are useful for other things, like (from an online medicinal plants handbook):
- In the Philippines, infusion of fresh flowers, drunk ad libitum, is said to be good for incipient tuberculosis and for hemorrhage...
- In Vietnam, roots, stems, leaves, and flowers are used for irregular menses, high blood pressure, tuberculosis, hemoptysis, rheumatism, and acne...
Taking or using natural remedies is not always difficult, and may be fun, as when you heat those beautiful flowers to drink the teas... but this isnt exactly a remedy for ur specific questions! I am just saying that some herbal stuff like the lemon grass, for ex., which they claim have many studies now conducted on cancer research, is not only helpful for cancer actually, but a host of other conditions like insomnia etc.
That was why I mentioned Argyria, which is the blue tint of the skin. It is almost impossible to get Argyria with the nano particle stuff. There are people who evidently don't care if their skin turns blue as long as some infection is stopped who have ingested a quart a day for a month, with no tinting of the skin. The old black and possibly the amber stuff will tint the skin with a lot less because the larger particles can't be flushed out of the body as easily. Also the larger particles don't do any good so a lot more of that kind had to be used for the same results. As long as you don't go hog wild with it there is an extremely small risk of Argyria. I don't know about people with kidney dysfunction, although I have read that it is good for kidney reflux disease. It is good that you knew about the possible side effect though.
