Tell me if any of these verses are not true ... by your statement above You have denied the word of God...You have denied ChristReceiving the word and believing it, is not the same thing as receiving the Lord Jesus and believing in Him as Savior. You can believe things that the Bible says without trusting Christ as Savior. Indeed, that truth must be well illustrated right here, as so many claim to receive God's Word, the scripture, yet they regard Christ as only a chance-giver, instead of their Savior; the word has been received by some who ever let it take root.
Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Philippians 2:15-17
[SUP]15 [/SUP]That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
1 John 1:1-3
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
[SUP]2 [/SUP](For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us
[SUP]3 [/SUP]That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
