The reader is so hung up on forcing the elimination of the rest of the work of the priest that there is no way to even salvage the truth due to the invincible rabbit trail as exhibited by this entire thread.

His teachings however still carry on, and He even told the Apostles He had much more to say to them but they were not ready to handle it yet. But told them when the Holy Spirit comes He will guide them in all truth.
The teachings of the Lord do very much apply today as they did back then.
If the teacher or spirit you are listening to tells you to deny His teachings; RUN, RUN, RUN, and find a different one to guide you as that spirit is not from God...........

I can partially accept that,because you are saying it was not finished in entirety.The reason I did not mention the resurrection was because that is not what was finished, as that was a continuation of His gospel message showing that the teachings and belief carries on. It is a continuation of belief in Christ that leads to salvation, and not a one time belief with continuing effects. It is amazing how some want to twist it to a one time event gets them salvation, when the bible shows one must continue in the faith of Christ to receive eternal life.
Galatians is a clear example of this even though some will try and twist that epistle as well. Apostle Paul says they once walked in the gospel of Christ, but then turned away to another gospel message. That message lead them to seek justification by the law, and Paul tells them Christ has become of no effect to them and they have fallen from grace.

Death (shedding the blood) of the sacrifice is not enough.
The blood must now be applied.
Only when the ransom had been paid could the blood be presented for application to the elect through faith by grace.

May I never get past the cross on which the Prince of Glory died for a sinner like me.That is because some churches are teaching a doctrine message that pretty much turns the cross into an idol.
I do not know how many times I have seen people constantly go, the cross, the cross, the cross. They focus to much on the cross itself and not what was done on it, as without Jesus crucifixion on it the cross would be no different then any other crosses used in crucifixion.
And yes I do believe His blood had to be placed on the mercy seat in the Holy of Holies, and I believe this was done in the physical sense by the findings of Wyatt and in the spiritual sense given by example in Hebrews;
