Excusing their behavior for wanting to survive? Question, does Satan especially hate Israel, a nation chose by God to be the epicenter of His creation? Do you really believe if Israel opened it's borders and let anyone in they would not be in danger? And supporting Israel has nothing to do with politics for many of us, God is supporting and protecting Israel. His prophecies will continue with Israel at the core.
Amen to that, sister.

Where are Jews told this?

There isn't a specific Bible verse mentioning a "flee to Petra" command, but the concept stems from interpretations of biblical prophecies, particularly Matthew 24:16-22, which instructs the Jewish people in Judea to flee to the mountains during the Great Tribulation, and Revelation 12:6, 14, which describes Israel (the "woman") fleeing to a place prepared by God in the wilderness for 1,260 days. Some theologians and Bible scholars believe this wilderness place refers to Petra, due to its historically hidden nature, mountainous terrain, and the symbolic meaning of its Hebrew name, Sela, which means "rock".

The names of many towns and cities in the land of israel have specific meanings which are used to describe its function in scripture.

Bozrah or Petra: The Refuge in Jordan
The word Petra means rock and the word Bozrah means sheepfold and/or fortress. It is located in the ancient region of Edom which is southeast of the Dead Sea ...

The place is a UNESCO World Heritage Center and tourist attraction now. Hardly a place to flee to and hide.

That's not what Romans 11 says but believe what you like.

It's exactly what Romans 11 says

And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. Romans 11:23
Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. Romans 11:31-32

@ThereRoseaLamb

The actual number of Jews who will be saved may be up for debate. That's not my issue. My main discussion point is that God will fulfill the promises He made to the Jews under the Abrahamic Covenant and that the church does not replace the Jews. God knows the number of both Jews and Gentiles that will be saved. We don't. And we don't need to.

The Abrahamic Covenant finds its ultimate fulfillment in the Church, the Body of Christ, Abrahams Spiritual Seed Gal 3:29

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Paul is calling the Body of Christ Heirs and Abrahams seed. This is the heirs he means with Abraham Rom 4:13

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

So who can tell me when God promised Abraham he should be heir of the world ?

Now yes but in that day not so much..... Let me know when you and others run out of excuses to except any truths or possibilities so I will not waste time in answering questions that may Edify both our understanding of scripture.

You just make stuff up. That day will probably have more surveillance than it does now. Here's a live webcam of your hidden hideaway. So out of touch with reality. smh

Petra is an ancient city in Jordan carved into vibrant sandstone cliffs, famous for its Nabataean architecture and sophisticated hydraulic engineering. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a popular tourist attraction, and a significant archaeological site containing numerous tombs, temples, and other monumental structures. [1, 2, 3, 4]

To be "hidden in the cleft of the rock" means to find a place of ultimate protection, safety, and refuge in God during times of overwhelming spiritual or physical danger. The phrase, from Exodus 33:22, refers to God shielding Moses from His full glory in a physical crevice of a rock, symbolizing how God can provide a safe space for His people to experience His presence without being consumed by it. This spiritual refuge is often metaphorically extended to Jesus Christ Himself, who offers salvation and shelter from the world's hardships.
