Wow, who would have thought God would enlist a corrupt evil banker along to do His work, a non believer. I mean there was no godly person around God could have enlisted.
Now let me think, were the prophets in the OT evil scheming bankers?
Yeah, I am not seeing any precedent for that.
The alternative is to take the Bible literally in places it is meant to be taken literally.
If we accept that the 144,000 is an actual measurement of people, which I really don't mind either way, then we must accept a few other things literally revealed about them:
1. The text implies they are men
2. It says they are virgins
3. It says there are 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel. So only 12,000 are Jews
4. It says they don't lie.
This means the 15.6 million professed Jews from around the world (6.9 million of whom live in Israel) are disqualified from this chosen group. It also means we should be on the lookout for 132,000 non-Jews.
Where are the facts wrong in that statement? Do Jews not have a right to a homeland? If not why not? If not there, where? Blowing off every post you don't like doesn't make you right.
Sure you have read all those lengthy negotiation documents, gone into all the minute details.

There's no such thing as taking the bible literally. You either discern its spiritual meanings or you interpret it carnally and wander off into error.
They have a homeland promised but God

I don't care what " most learned scripture teaches teach", it simply is not possible nor correct. You should have compared the spiritual with the spiritual, which apparently, you didn't do. Just basing your opinion upon what is immediately before your eyes is insufficient to bring you to a correct understanding. Modern Israel, or old, cannot now be God's work because God divorced the nation of Israel, and by His own law, He could not remarry it. You should try to understand which Israel it is that you are reading about- it's not always clear, obvious, nor easy to do, nevertheless, it is essential. Look at Gal 6:15 -16 below. In those verses, we are informed that the "Israel of God" is spiritual Israel, not national Israel, it spiritual Israel because it is an Israel through Christ, not through law.

You obviously were unable to, or chose not to, follow the flow of the "new song" verses I posted. You should go back, read them again, but this time actually think about what they're saying. They are critical to an understanding of the 144,000, and without which, you will never be able to comprehend it.
Regarding your 'studies", if you missed that major aspect, you're on the wrong track and have missed it all.

Hmmm, okay, but how do you know when/where we are supposed to use which? We are told in the Bible that through the Holy Spirit we compare spiritual doctrine to spiritual, not the literal doctrine to literal, nor spiritual to literal. I believe we are told this because the Bible was written on two different levels simultaneously: the spiritual and the literal, with the spiritual, the one of consequence and the one that we are to seek out and understand, and the literal serving as allegory and pattern to help illuminate the spiritual, but the literal is not the true nor an end in itself. Now, to do this is much easier said than done, but it should always be our goal, and as much as we are capable, to do so

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking? They were real people, but God used both a bond woman (Hagar) and her son (Ishmael), and a free woman (Sarah) and her son (Isaac) - who actually existed in space/time, along with the accompanying events as described in the Bible- nevertheless, over and above that, they were specifically and intentionally used by God to serve as allegory of spiritual covenants and doctrine of the gospel. So, rather than just looking at it from a one-dimensional, immediate context alone, we should instead try to find the spiritual doctrine they represent.
Hope that makes sense, I'm kind of tired right now and not thinking too clearly so it may not and it's a lot to try to briefly explain. If I can clarify or expound upon it, please let me know.

Your third point is pivotal. Until people begin to realize that only the house of Judah were Jews (unless we are speaking geographically, which would include all those living in and around Jerusalem in what was commonly called Judea), the deception will continue.
