I have heard this taught, and seems to tie in with what we are seeing around us, Christians, genuine, Spirit-filled and walking out His guidance Christians, are getting stronger, the enemies minions are getting more outlandish, more reprobate, etc.
The increase in crime and violence parallels this.
We all need to be careful to keep ourselves stayed on Him and in Him lest we be distracted.:):coffee:(y)

These reactions from some here just don't seem Christlike. It seems they are trying to stir up anger and strife. I'm deciding to ignore them. But I have always appreciated your posts whether we agree or not. I can sense your heart through your posts and they are as Christlike as possible considering these hard subjects we are dealing with. Its still Spiritual and so will the new world be, heavenly. It will be manifested when He comes shortly as Paul wrote 2 Tim 4:1

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Otherwise you unfortunately are deceived, may God have mercy on you

When he ascended to heaven 40 days after the resurrection

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. The Colossian church Col 1:13

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
 
Those were the early church, before being highjacked by Rome.
Before faith and relationship in Him became a man made "religion" telling people if they wanted to get to heaven they had to go through them.
Jesus works here now as we decrease and He increases to work through we who yield to Him.

"Political" simply means "relating to people". Currently it's begun to mean "the governing affairs of the people".

A new heaven and earth doesn't sound spiritual to me, why would we need new bodies if we are spiritual?

Yeah. It's the example Paul set in his letter to the Corinthians:

"And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?"

Notice: he still regards them as brothers or "adlephos" (from the same womb) so their status in Christ is not in question. Their maturity in Him is the issue.

Saints mired in politics accept divisions between other brothers and so they are to be treated as carnal... acting like mere men. I know PennEd to be mired in politics by his own admission. I gave him some time to come around but he keeps lobbing insults at me and others who don't agree with him. This behavior mirrors the behavior as the man he supported as his political representative, Donald Trump. There is no record of Trump in the Bible but there is a record of what happens when believers mix with vile men:

This is from Paul too. "Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”"

So, if someone says they are a believer or a "Christian" and they also choose vile men and women as their representative (this happens mostly in Representative Republics) at the very least they have some growing to do. To wit: they are carnal and should be regarded as such.

Here:

"So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."

Yeah, they also tend to be upset when corrected:

That's why patience is needed as an example to others. Patience is a quality of the mature. We should not expect patience from the carnally minded. Indeed, we can expect the opposite: division, back-biting, given to matters of mere men, investing more in the world than in the eternal kingdom. They often pray for enough money so they don't have to trust God.
