I think this is semantics. I'm guessing we mean the same thing, but you say it differently. By God being in control, I mean nothing can happen without God's permitting it to happen - even sin. If you call this sovereign, fine. But I know of many sovereigns who were unable to hold onto their own power, let alone everything that happened in their territory. It depends on your definition of Jew. Remember that Jesus said to some who believed themselves Jews that their father was the devil.

I am saying that the scroll which the Lamb opens after having just been slain is the same scroll that Paul is referring to in Ephesians when he says the mystery hidden from the ages has now been revealed. I am saying that when Jesus said "all power (authority) has been given unto me" in Matthew He is referring to this scroll being given to Him. I am saying that the reason we know the number of his name for the Antichrist is because this scroll has been opened. I am saying that there are two interpretations of the first seal, either the gospel or the false gospel, either way that horse began running throughout the earth 2,000 years ago, Galatians talks about 'another gospel which is not another, but a perversion of the gospel'.
