Just make sure that you understand it well enough first...Im going to teach this new fangled flat earth theory to my children and see what they think.

If someone is moving upwards, and forwards, they are only moving in only one direction.
Probably looked up into the sky and saw planes flying in many different flight paths. Go outside. You might see some planes too.
There are many pictures showing the flat horizon; everywhere I go the horizon is always flat.
