I wish that when I put someone on Ignore that I can't even see an emoji that they might leave on my post.

Maybe instead of putting them on ignore, we could practice just ignoring them?

You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to

rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:43-45

That would be a temptation that I would rather not have to deal with, seeing their post and not reading It and wanting to respond or seeing a red x emoji that they continuously leave on your post.I would rather not deal with that.I see people all the time saying that they are putting someone on Ignore just to end up responding to their post again after saying they were on Ignore.

Yes, it is frustrating, sad that someone still puts red X's when they know you are ignoring them. A block feature would be nice, sad thing for a Christian Chat site but there are situations where is could be useful.

My experience has been that the flow of the dialogue gets interrupted so one ends up reading the post even if on ignore and are drawn back in.

Sometimes if you ask nicely they will put you on ignore, it helps to have it both ways.

Get a browser extension like uBlock Origin and you can hide those red Xs. You may have a hard time just filtering out only he ones you don't want though. Oftentimes it's an all or nothing proposition.

When I have people on ignore I see nothing from them. Not even emojis on posts.

That is true.

However, I think he looks/un-ignores and then sees the red x's.
Once you check your reactions on any given post, it shows all of them.

So a red X may not show up at first (that you can see), but checking reactions displays it.

In 2 Timothy 3 there is a list of people who are characterized by the descriptions listed there.

This is not a list of heathens....this list is of those who claim Christ.

Notice what Paul says to Timothy to do about them?

I merely follow Paul's instructions....I recommend you do the same.

Funny, you mention that, I have found that if one develops the discipline one can scroll past the post, it took me a while but yes it works too!

Yeah... that's awesome!!

I didn't say that it was a cakewalk, by any stretch of the imagination... I have pride issues myself. I want to one-up folks that disagree with me. I feel hurt when I'm not "accepted".

But I think that Scripture tells me to do otherwise... scrolling past it is hard, but I thinks that it's the right thing to do.

Probably because a big red x looks SO negative because you already have them on Ignore and they leave a red x emoji on your post. It’s just annoying to see and to be reminded that they have found a way to needle you when you’re trying not to be bothered with them.

I love those little red balls with the tilted cross. Always reminds me that Jesus shed His blood for me.
