I suppose your right, I do feel it's quite sad tho that youngsters have to come to places like this to look for acceptance and guidance , I can only imagine that they've been made to feel ashamed by there parents.

Or perhaps there something else going on there, there could be multiple reasons why people can't talk openly with parents. Not necessarily the parents fault either.

But the trouble is how would you feel if you find your son was going to a complete stranger on guidance about this subject, or worse still what would you do with a parent who gets mad at you for talking to his son about a matter that should be for the parents, he could end up thinking your a pervert.

Yep it's a tricky one

None of the people who replied to the thread are actually young. The only young one I think was the original poster. 😬

good old John Wayne, best cowboy that ever lived 😂

Theres also another movie where he died to, he was diagnosed with cancer with that one, but before he left he made sure he got rid of the bad guys. I believe it was his final movie called the shootist 1976.

Another good one to,

I don't think we will ever see another John Wayne sadly.

Clint eastwood was good cowboy to especially in the good the bad and ugly, you must of watched that one surely 😂

I don't really like cowboy movies, but I do remember once not caring about what was on TV and letting it play through to the end when I was a kid. I think it had Clint Eastwood in it. I can't remember if it was "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" or not. I see that it's free on TubiTv so I'll put that on my watchlist too.

I found "The Shootist" but it wasn't free, probably because it was his last movie. :(

I remember it did make me mad first time I saw it. Not enough to send death threats to anyone though!
I saw Bruce in San Deigo while in the navy he came on board my ship. I told him choice words about shooting John Wayne IN THE BACK!

he said it was just a move. I told him I don't care and we had a stare down

Tubi I watch a lot. I like the documentaries. Chris Pinto has a few on there and Jimmy DeYoung too.

I don't really like cowboy movies,

Westerns are my favorite. They teach us how to live off the grid. The wife chops wood, Hubby hunts they both plow, And wow how much medical knowledge I learn from them! A wet cloth on the forehead cures Typhoid and it takes a bullet probe to locate bullets in the patient and once located can be taken out with hemostats, here bite down on this!

I actually googled bullet probes and there really is such a thing!

Some of them western doctors can do anything with one medical bag, even an operation. On Bonanza one time Little Joe got shot and was near death the entire show while Hoss was out running from town to town for a bottle of medicine. Some outlaws stole it and he had to get it back and finally makes it back home and Little Joe took two sips of the medicine and was on his feet again the next day! Wow! I need some of that Medicine that cures gunshot wounds for my 1st Aid kit!

That's cool. I like reading so I would prefer reading up on stuff. I know there's a lot of off-grid homestead and survival books out there.

Basically, what Rom 14: 22--23 is saying is that if you think that an action is a sin, and you commit this action, you've sinned. Masturbation is a natural call from your body that is pushing you to copulate. If a partner is not available, and you hate that arousal state of being because it interferes with your thinking, and you think of everyone you meet as a potential brother or sister and not as sex objects, and pray for a non-arousal state of being, and you don't think it's a sin to get rid of this arousal state of being, then it isn't a sin as long as your fantasy object is someone you will never come in contact with, and you don't become a slave to this arousal, and your main purpose is to get rid of the arousal.

One of the rules I use for my own life is. "If You Are Wondering If Something Is Sin, It Probably Is." I dont look for the Bible to Spell Some Things Out, some things take the Holy Spirits Convincing or just plain common sense. I have a Congenital Medical Condition that was misdiagnosed, so I dont have that problem, I think about the "End Of Life Care" that comes with it and keeping my House in order, that seems to keep me out of a lot of Trouble.
PS Dont Pray for me, Many already have and thats already been answered. Gods Grace is Sufficient

It's still a lust of the flesh. Aren't we told to overcome the lusts of the flesh?

Where does it say overcome the lust of the flesh with your left hand? Right hand? Lol!

No sir, you are wrong.

Thank you for your reply. For you, those that masterbate are sinners and it is a sin for you. For me, I don't think it's a sin, so I'll let God decide.

Rom 14: 22-23 Hast thou faith? Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubted is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith; for whatever is not of faith is sin.

Good grief! The chapter's focus is on disputable matters like food and drink, not on sexual ethics. Those verses are about eating certain foods and about holding certain days as sacred or special. It's not talking about masturbation which falls under sexual immorality and impurity.

That's what masturbation does - you lose all discernment.

Mat 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

1Pet 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

Col 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

1cor 4:16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me.

Romans 11:1-2 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

There is no Biblical support that Jesus would have done such a thing. Therefore, it should not be done.
