U r twisting things away from your original point now , which is a sign that u feel u r loosing the discussion . I'm not talking about homosexuality or suicide as I'm sure u know . If u can't stay on topic then I'm not going to try to discuss this any further with u . If u have something new and relevant to say about the original topic I'm happy to hear u . Otherwise goodnight and may God bless u .

I am not.

And I don't work on feelings, but on truth. You resorted to trying to attack me with a false narrative because you cannot refute what was said. Cause and effect. Masturbation is not a cause; it is an effect of something more profound.

I said that which, if sexual idotry is left unchecked, will lead the person into deeper, darker sin and depravity. Which LGBTQ is just that deeper, darker sin, and I added rape and sexual abuse. That is all facts. Good night to you, too.

It also begs a lot of questions...

Are hot coals generally intended by God to be placed on the lips of the mouth? Or is Jerimiah just an exception to the rule?

Please show me where any prophet in the word of God said they woke up with their backside hurting after a demon of masturbation attacked them. I will wait.

So, true story- a lot of people who use pornography over a long period- it is followed by deviance and suicide. I'm sure there are other factors at play; but what CS1 is talking about is tangentially related; since pornography is such a topical accomplice.

I don't know for certain that masturbation necessarily implies a sexual addiction that will eventually lead to suicide; but there is definitely a correlation and a relationship going on somewhere in there. Suicide prevention is very important to me.

In every case of sexual addiction of those I have counseled, and currently, all men engage in this before they move to live out the fantasy. The dissatisfaction and unfulfillment drove them to other venues of sexual addiction. Many men who entered into Homo sexuality started with pornography online and phone use. The stories are there of pastors, worship leaders, and ministers. Many said they had no desire to be gay, but the drive to have sexual action was not out of bounds as long as they achieved the objective. This is lust at its best and sin when it is formulated in the mind of the person; the only thing left is the physical act. Which, after doing so, leaves them more bound and less satisfied. Why do Gay men commit suicide at a rate of about 70% and transgender people? Although transgender is about identity, not sex. it is the torment and no peace. Many support this abuse of these people, which is not loving. And I will tell you the greater Judgment will be on them who do so. To agree with their cognitive issues and sin is not caring; it is sealing their fate. You will stand before the living God and give an account for that. You mothers and women who do so. God has not changed His position.

All jokes aside. My opinion is thats its between the masterbator and God. Im so far from perfect I dont dare opine. I will say before marriage and salvation I did love the ladies. Not the same thing I know but I understand desire. Well I used to understand it but now its not even on my bucket list. Heck, I wouldnt have the energy. 😂

Excuse the crude nature of this post, I just have really been struggling with this lately. Is it a sin? Where is the line drawn?
How many different women are you lusting [craving] (that you imagine or mentalize), how many are married [so committing adultery in essence], so essentially you are doing things that these women would not give you permission to do...?

I'm not trying to be judgemental or mean. I am just trying to make you think since you did ask how is it a Sin or in some cases multiple Sins at one time.

Excellent questions and challenging ones, the ability to view it through biblical standards.

there is a lengthly answer a brother has posted with much detail, I will only say I read somewhere the Jewish people considered it a sin. where I read this was in a Defintions page defining certain Hebrew words and there meaning.

I consider it a sin, temperance, to have control over your lusts, one of many test to see if one has control by G-D'S Precious Holy Spirit or not over the flesh!

in all I understand

Leviticus 15:16 NKJV ‘If any man has an emission of semen, then he shall wash all his body in water, and be unclean until evening.

It is the same with hunger. Hunger drives a man to hunt and look for food. Hunger is caused by chemistry at work. The sex drive causes the man to want to mate. The longer you go without food the worse it gets. The same with your sex drive.

Good thing Christians understand that ALL THINGS are new in Him.
We could easily fall back under legalism by misapplying a Levitical law as a must do health practice.
The RCC and others are great at inflicting a lifetime of guilt on people, making people think they have to jump through a lot of hoops to be worthy of salvation, Jesus never does.

I would likely recommend you place this in third person. 9 out of 10 times this topic comes up, it is done by trolls. That being said it is sin.

Self-gratification is a type of idolatry. One of a sexual kind. Out of the abundance of one's heart, these issues arise. Sexual ADDITION, which most were introduced to this by 1. pornography, 2. sexual abuse, 3. homosexuality. This act begins with a perverted thought process, which leads to an addiction and a stronghold. Built of sexual fantasies and pleasure, one gets from this. One needs to be counseled and have accountability. No access to PC, phone, and other venues where one can see Porn, like social media. You need to see this for what it is. And know you are not the only one who has struggled with this. You have self-control or you don't.

I would think it falls under the self-control and patience categories. God tells us to take captive the thoughts of our carnal mind and be not conformed to the ways of the world. Instant sexual gratification seems to have become a worldly practice today as we have evidence in MTV, The Gap, Abercrombie-Fitch, Victoria's Secret, etc., etc. There's no shortage of eye candy out there for a teenage boy to take home with him and become addicted to an unhealthy activity. Especially if he's already having the typical teen boy issues at home. You will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, which is peace in Christ, if you're preoccupied with satisfying your fleshly desires. Not even possible.

Carnal mindedness is not godly, nor is it able to discern the things of GOD. Again, Masturbation is not the cause; it is the effect of an underlying issue, which was caused by lust through 1. pornogphy 2. sexual addiction. 3. abuse
You've hit the nerve when you say that it isn't the cause it is the effect. Finding the root of why is the beginning of purging it from yourself. Deeper still is idolatry that's even further down into the depth of fallen human nature. Knowing this doesn't ease the struggle, it only extends the goal to a higher one.

I have a embarrassing story.I used to like sleeping on my stomach and would sometimes put my hands under my body like you would setting a pick in basketball. Then one night I heard the Holy Spirit say " don't do that." while I switched sleep position in the middle of the night.

Ah, if He could find such great a faith among the children of Israel. :giggle:

I would leave it between you and the Lord. Every single one of us is not going to divulge all of our intimate thoughts or doings.

Some things are NOBODIES business. This is one of them. You and the Lord can work it out.
