You'd be surprised, but arguing is not my point. Grown christian men carrying on and on in a teen forum about matters I can't imagine any of them wanting their daughters to be dwelling on is my point.

It isn't just grown Christian men in here. And it has basically stayed on topic.

Personally, if I had a daughter, and she asked me this question I would discuss it with her. I don't believe it is a Sin.

Yes, this is in the Teen forum, but I think it is an adult subject.

The only real sin in regard to masturbation is the sin of disregard and greed committed by the pornographic industry. The pornographic industry includes actors, writers, publishers, and otherwise good public servants who are drawn into employment simply for the use of making a buck off your good pleasure - and they don't care how they get your money, nor the damages they do, for they entice and flaunt their flagrances with airbrush, implant, and any amount of immorality they can muster without breaking the spell. They are the cowards and failures of the community with respect to this topic.

Exactly. It is an adult topic that has, as times gotten far too graphic by grown men for a teen forum. You have made it clear that you don't think it is wrong. If you say it bazillion more times do you think everyone will agree with you? Are there now more important issues we shrespould discuss with teens? Is the young lay who posed the question even reading this or responde

Okay, now I'm at my desk and can respond appropriately. :)

The OP didn't ask how it was done or why they do it, she asked whether it was a sin. Many answers have needlessly gone far beyond that. Apparently, the young lady has her answer and has had her fill of this topic as well, and is no longer responding. Seems like some folks would take the hint...

It was merely on my heart to remind christian adults that posting such graphic answers to teens is a really good way to end up on an online watch list. Then again, if they don't have sense enough to stop doing this and enjoy returning to their vomit, perhaps they should be. If they would like to dwell on this topic, there are adult forums for that and our prayers go with them, as, at this point they aren't answering the young lady, they are posting for their own entertainment.

Incase you do not know what Saul_Durian is talking about:

Le:15:16: And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
Le:15:17: And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
Le:15:18: The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.
Do you mean from these verse that it is ok for someone who masturbates?

These verses do not say that it is right to masturbates, but are condemning it. so it is a sin

We don't live by the OT. We're suppose to be so God conscious that we're not even sin conscious

“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so.

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place."

Even if what you said were accurate, it doesn't make it a Sin in the first place.

I guess I didn't see anything that graphic. Certainly nothing worth being put on any kind of watchlist. And true, she might not be responding, but I didn't think that was a requirement.

But I do get what you are saying, and yes, it is a little entertaining.

If everyone would just agree with me (and their bible) this would fade into the oblivion of the pages of threads.

I certainly don't mean to criticize you for hijacking the topic :)
Love ya Juilianna, God bless

No the contrary anything that makes you unclean is sin. Jesus himself said it is not what goes into the man/woman that makes them unclean but what comes out. For out of the heart comes immorality, lust, greed, malice, covetness. These are what defiles a person.

As Jullianna pointed out this topic has gone way beyond the question that was asked. And if you have the nerve to tell anyone that is ok to defile their body in immorality you had better check your heart? I mean WWJD? Can you honestly say that you think Jesus would masturbate? So please check yourself before you wreck yourself.

The topic was hijacked looooooooong ago, as I addressed in my post. :) There is nothing edifying here. I left this thread on my control panel for the purpose of answering the OP should she post again. Since it's now turning my stomach, I think I'll just delete it. Enjoy the vomit if you must.

I honestly don't see how we moved away from the question. I mean most of the discussion has been about bible versus either for or against it. And I don't recall anything too graphic.

WWJD? It is not condemned in the Bible, and I don't know if you noticed, but the Bible covers a lot of sexual immorality. Now does it fall under the category of purity? Certainly not, it is clear that it makes you unclean. And Jesus was not only virtuous and Holy, but he was pure as well. So, no I don't think he would.

I would say that most Christians strive to be pure, if that is the case, avoid masturbation. But that wasn't the question.

Yea I wasn't referring to you. Sorry I meant you to whomever thought it was not. I got a little carried away with the YOU word.

Jesus fulfilled the law. We don't live under law. I wasn't disagreeing with you either. Masturbating in itself isn't a sin. What makes it sin is lust.
