Is it bad to make out?

My boyfriend and i are both Christians and we like to makeout...that sounds weird but is it a bad thing in Gods eyes to makeout?:confused:
 
if you dont mean make out as in sexual pleasure, yes its fine. god dosent mind couples kissing and hugging. i used to wonder that when i was your age too until i figured it out :) god wants you to live exciting lives with your boyfriend
 
i dnt really feel its bad, but its kinda weird sometimes because God is always with you and its like hes watching you. We dnt kiss in front of people so knowing hes there makes me feel good...but kinda self consous

What do you mean by sexual pleasure?
 
Maybe that means you should put that on hold.

Sexual pleasure is pleasure derived from any kind of sexual activity.
Fact: making out is a sexual euphemism.

i think it's ok to kiss and hug your boyfriend, but not to the point where it arouses you sexually. it should be an expression of pure love and not lust because you are not yet married. of course you shouldn't touch each other in inappropriate ways

this is interesting :] well as long as there is no LUST involved. as soon as u feel like those sexual desires are starting 2 come in, u should probably be wise n back off :] it can lead 2 sin but thats not a reason not 2 do it, i believe. u just have 2 be wise about it n have self control. the bible also tells us 2 go with our conscience. so if u feel bad when u do it, and u have doubts, then mayybe u shouldnt do it, cuz thats like ur going against ur own conscience, and when u do that it does bcum sin :]
 
I am always a little surprised when I read that 'making out' means 'hugging'. Are we joking?

You can 'hug' your mother, your father, your brother, your sister, your friends (males and females), your pastor, your priest, and I don't need to go on. It is evident that, in any of these cases, you are not making out.

Besides, let's see what the best American dictionaries say.
  1. Merriam-Webster: make out intransitive verb to engage in sexual intercourse.
  2. New Oxford American dictionary: make out informal engage in sexual activity.
Every linguist agrees that 'making out' necessarily implies some form of sexual excitement, which, outside of marriage, is definitely unacceptable from a Biblical perspective. There's no question about it.

I dont really have a good answer to this question. I definetly liked to make out with my ex. Now that he is my ex though I see alot more clearly about it, it was leading us further and further down a path of sin, and it was lust. If it's a small part of your relationship I think it can be ok, but if your relationship is based around it and you do it ALOT I would take a step back from it, especially at your age well any age really temptation can definely l creap into the situation, just keep your boudries strong and know your limits and be willing to talk about it with your boyfriend.
 
I don't think it's bad. Making out is essentially kissing isn't it?

Agreed. The whole point of making out is to arouse sexual desire, if it wasn't, then its not really making out. Its just innocent kisses or hugs.
 
If ur finding it bad in ur heart and ur not at peace with it, then just don't do it...simple!..

If you honestly sincerely pray about it and read Gods word (specifically about relationships) and you feel bad, self conscious, then dont do it. But you have to open your heart to what God is really saying and not what you want to hear. If you get the OK from God & God ALONE then its fine. :)

You guys rock! Thank you so much for your advice. I did talk to my bf about it and he was wondering the same thing. We still make out but no quite as much. I dont feel its wrong i just wanted to get some extra oinions though, thanks!
 
i really need some advie about this, my boyfriend and i have almost been dating for 2 years it will be 2 years in 3 months, but we makeout and kiss alot, he knows that i dont want to have sex tell im married but, the more i read the comments the more it had me thinking, its also hard because, well he doesnt really believe in God, i mean he does some times and i dont get it, like i always try to ask God for help but, when i talk to my boyfriend about it, he just changes the subject... what should i do?

O my goodness! 2 years! WOW! ive never even hurd of a relationship that long! lol jk. I honestly dont know quite what to tell you but i think itsreally dangorous to date a nonchristian...my personal opinion.
 
Yes, because making out can arouse you, and then once you get to the point then it starts breaking you down to the point where maybe touching is okay, but only touching, and then it continues till your conscious isnt bothered by what you do.
