Sirach 23:12-133
12 There is a manner of speaking comparable to death;
may it never be found in the inheritance of Jacob!
Such conduct will be far from the godly,
and they will not wallow in sins.
Do not accustom your mouth to coarse, foul language, for it involves sinful speech.

Actually it is...
The Laws are written on our hearts by God.
And salty language doesn't have to be used to degrade anyone. (Degrading others is a sin)
But some people do see it as a sin of the filth we humans carry in our hearts....or they have ears too pure to hear such things.

Degrading someone is a sin...there is no slice and dice about it.
This isn't exactly a new thing either...it's been in the rules since kindergarten...for a reason.
Jews who did such things got hauled before the Sanhidrin and were routinely horsewhipped for such an infraction. (two witnesses in agreement was all that was required)
however...coarse language was not a sin...Jesus used coarse language towards the Pharisees. (But since He is God...I'm not going to say that Jesus sinned whatsoever by using coarse language)
Language is subjective.
Words that are curse words in English are nothing in Spanish...and curse words in Spanish are nothing in English. Same with the UK...things you say here in America are not coarse language in the UK...and vice versa.
I supplied many verses about our lanuage that does not involve cursing someone.
Basically, how do you want people to think about you? I once had the driver of a cement truck show me his very low IQ --- knowing that his company only hired skinhead --- I blew him a kiss. He looked back at me like a dog and flipped his truck over on the curve. Since, that was next to a lake, I called the DNR who showed up with the Police. His company got hundreds of thousands in fines and went out of business.

Exactly, there's no real answer as to whether it's sinful or not, just strongly discouraged. Either way imma try to limit what I say anyway so....
Using a lot of coarse language degrades you...so I'd agree that it's not a good practice
