yeah so maybe we should fear God and reverence Him, instead of calling God a capricious murderer and holding some man in awe.

'God causes me to sin' -- which part of Proverbs 1:7 does such a statement fall under?
is that an example of despising wisdom or of fearing God?

accusing God of evil is not the beginning of knowledge -- it is the antithesis of the beginning of knowledge:

to accuse God of evil is to despise wisdom.

Proverbs 1:7 is exactly what i told you from the beginning: your rabbi Clark is in error from step 1 because he drops the axiom God is good and ignores its corollaries, that God does no evil and everything God does is good.
thinking that God causes, creates and engages in sin but escapes judgement because of His throne is 100% in opposition to the fear of the LORD.

Yes, it only makes sense when one heeds the voice of men, whose thoughts are disillusioned with self grandeur. Truly fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

The problem is, you cannot take away from God and not end up constructing your own golden calf.

if God gets out of being judged for His own sin ((as Clark & Dave et al accuse God of)) on the technicality that there is no court in which to try the LORD and no law with which to convict Him, then equally God cannot be called 'good' because by the same argument there is no standard by which to praise Him.

Clark & his disciple Dave present an amoral & capricious god victimizing humanity.

I think it would be beneficial to properly define evil. There is malice and sadistic evil, like disembowelling someone, serving no purpose other than cause pain. Then there is judgment and destruction with purpose, like cutting somebody’s insides apart....to remove a cancerous tumour. The Lord is not a sadist, He’s the surgeon. There is no separate word for “evil” in the Bible. It just means destruction. The purpose is what exemplifies the character. Sending His Son into the world to be crucified was “evil” to His Son, yet had a purpose that hopefully every poster in this thread can appreciate.

Isn’t is ra, or rah?, that Isaiah 45:7 in the KJV is translated evil? Evil in that verse is referring to calamity, disaster, not evil emanating from Him.

What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all![Rom. 9:14]

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you:
that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

This is far more serious than you can imagine. There is only one God properly defined. A false definition = an idol.

how about the good ol' 'principle of first mention' ?

the very first evil described in the scripture is the accusation that God is not good. Satan lied to Woman, telling her that God had lied to her.

Clark & @Dave-L et al similarly say to us, God is not good. they say, God causes you to sin then capriciously judges you for it, effectively sadistically murdering you, your children and your animals ((c.f. Exodus 17:3))
