Here is what the Lava Canyon websight says caused the formation of lava canyon

When Mt St Helens’ erupted in 1980, snow melted rapidly on her south side and created a powerful mudslide. The rush of mud and debris pummeled through the canyon and ripped apart everything in its path. Trees were leveled and the newer stone torn up. Suddenly, the ancient volcanic rock was revealed and over time the canyon came alive with sparkling waterfalls, new growth forest, and impressive rock formations.

That was interesting, with some lovely photographs; thanks for posting! BTW, I was several hours north of Mount Saint Helens on that fateful day, but still heard both explosions from about 700 kilometers away.

In the video it is the north side of the volcano that blocked the river creating a dam, but when it broke it did flood but I don’t see newly formed canyon the gorge was there before the eruption. And it was in May very little snow on the mountain, but the video says it was the river that got blocked but didn’t carve out any new mini canyon

Hmm so it did have water within the slide my bust, though if that curved out anything it was on the loose earth that slid down the mountain also, in the river the mud slide did very little in reforming the river or the landscape

I don't watch videos, I choose the help to understand scripture very carefully. But from my study I have learned that our God, who lives in a different dimension than we who are in the fleshly dimension live, teaches us through history. We are to learn of the kingdom of God through learning the history as told in scripture.

The Ariel view of the area is quite the informative view, the lakes are still there with the mountain range pretty much intact, very little carving of the actual mud flow if anything the landslide buried some landscape features and the mud flow appears to have maybe dug some small trenches through the soft dirt. the view is a little far to see if some of those trenches are the rivers around the mountains but other than right around the volcano little has changed especially on the south side of the volcano.

The Ariel view of the Grand Canyon looks very much like a crack in the earth than the flow of water

Mars has a similar cracks on the surface.

I did wonder what I was hearing. Not everyone heard it, either, so I always wondered about that aspect of it, too. I was on Sonora Island with some friends who were refurbishing the one room school house they had recently purchased, on sixteen acres of waterfront property. Quite a few of us had gone up there, with the building supplies transported on a rented barge. Though I was not doing any of the construction, I documented the work as it was being done, shooting a minimum of one 36 exposure roll of film every day over the two week period we were up there

I hope you and yours are doing well during these times we inhabit. We live in interesting times
