How does God lead his people today and how does keep his people united?
Here is my answer:
The problem with religion today is the lack of unity between the different sects. Even though most religions have at least some truth, there can only be one path that has all truth. The scriptures teach “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:5). This tells me that true religion is objective and is not subjective. All Christian churches may teach that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, but the problem is they can’t agree on how that faith is made acceptable to God unto salvation. You may ask, where can we find this one faith and one baptism? Here is how I see it, when it comes to religion there are three categories:
1. Religious anarchy – these are individuals and organized religions who take a intellectual approach to religion. They take scripture and come up with their own interpretations. They tend to focus on one scripture and build their entire belief system on that one scripture. Unfortunately, in many cases they will seek convenience over truth. Isaiah 55:8-9
2. False leaders and teachers - these are those who claim authority and revelation for God’s church but have received none. Matthew 7:15
3. True Leaders and teachers – these are those who are called of God and were given authority by Jesus Christ to:
A. preach Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism by authority and enduring to the end. Ephesians 2:8-10, Luke 13:3, Mark 16:16, Matthew 24:13
B. keep God’s people united. Ephesians 4:11-14
As you may have guessed, the third category (true leaders and teachers) is where you’ll find that one faith and one baptism.
If you die while in religious anarchy or if you were deceived by false leaders and teachers, all is not lost. If you had lived a good life, sought truth and followed the spirit, salvation can still be yours. 1Peter 4:6
I believe that God has called leaders and teachers today just like he did in the new testament church. So the question is, how can you tell the true leaders and teachers from the false ones? The answer is not found on how popular their teachings are, but it is found on what they produce. If they produce Godly results, then after much prayer you can know whether or not they were called of God (Matthew 7:15-20, James 1:5).

Now all hear, not all decide to know the entire truth of love and mercy given to them to do the same to all as done by Son for all first. 1 John 2:1-27, John 19:30
John 13:34 yet it is to say love all as I have loved you first? as It is done for you bt=y Son first.
How has God loved us all by Son, who went to that cross without any flesh fight back at all? Did he have to go to get forgiven at all, himself? NO! So what then? Is this done for us all or not 1 John 2:1-27 it is is it not?
Also in Acts 5, we can read towards the end, what is said by the leaders about them preaching the Son as risen. To leave them alone, send them on their way
If this is of God, then it is real, if not it will not last. today now over 2,000 years has passed, and not gone away, has it?
Been misused much, yet many will still enter in, being in belief to Son as risen for them, Father God approved, wow, thank you Woe is me too Isaiah 6:1-7 Yet anyone with the wrong motive might not, that be Father's call not anyone else's, thank you very much

Now religions, original meaning is
What one, anyone is doing to get a deity to respond to them. If one anyone gets any deity to respond to them, that makes the deity one is serving, a god over the deity they are serving, Does the true God, Father of risen Son respond or create?
I, do not see God Father in the risen son Jesus responding to anyone, does anyone else? God created, creates, we, I respond in thanksgiving and praise, I am not worthy, anyone else?
I see respond to God Father in risen Son for us and do all in love and mercy given us first
I see we love, and forgive, because God loves us all first through Son as risen as proof, thank you Father
If I create anything, I make myself God, anyone else? Thank you very much

The best way to tell the true Pastors is to know your Scriptures and listen to what they are preaching =====if they are Preaching the Law and just go and serve your neighbour out of love then God who Loves you will send you to heaven -------or they preach that God Blesses people who do good deeds ---or God who loves you would not send anyone to Hell -----or anything else they preach that is contrary to God Word -----then they are False Prophets -

But you need to know the Word ---so you know if they are preaching their own gospel or the True Gospel -----

How does God lead his people today and how does keep his people united?

*sigh* the basis of our salvation is the finished work of Christ on the cross, His death and resurrection. Those who are born again are saved. This means that we have a new spirit, born of God, that can never die.

The problem is not in the believer's spirit. It is in the soul. Everyone comes to Christ with an inbuilt temperament. Some are outgoing, emotional and life of the party types. Some are deadly serious, driven and strongly self willed. Some are easy going and unflappable. Some, like me are thinkers, wanting to understand everything, loners who are happy to live in isolation.

Each temperament is inclined to approach the things of God from a different point of view. What we need is to be aware of these truths and quit judging people who are not like us.

Discernment is important. Some are better equipped than others. "The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment." (1 Corinthians 2:15) Judging in this context is not in the sense of a court of law but in the sense of evaluating those things.

An example may help. Many years ago, I attended a church where the pastor was one of the highly motivated, strong willed driven types. He had a vision which I believe even now that was from God. But I saw that he was not a pastor in his heart. Pastors are shepherds who lead, not drive the sheep. His determination to achieve his goals, even though from God, led to the collapse of the church. Many were hurt. Someone else took on the project and it worked out exceptionally well.

I met that pastor again a few years ago. He is much different. God has worked in his life. We need to be careful not to write people off, even if some of their beliefs and attitudes do not gel with us.
Philippians 3:15
"All of us who are mature should embrace this point of view. And if you think differently about some issue, God will reveal this to you as well."

God wants to have unity but it is fundamentally spiritual. Life is far more important than doctrine. The church at Ephesus was doctrinally excellent, but their love had grown cold. Unbelievers know us by our love, not by the precision of our doctrines.

We should test everything and hold fast to what is good. No one is infallible. No one knows all truth except God. Jesus is the Truth. Hold fast to Him and you won't go far wrong.

@Gideon300 Please forgive my ... idk what it is...off subject interjection.... but for tidiness' sake and for general helps in posting formats.

If you'd like to respond to only one line of a member's post, you can do so by dragging the cursor across the line from beginning to end of the relevant material and then right click and a "reply" prompt will appear at the end of it for your selection. This format will more distinctly separate your words from the words to which you are responding. Otherwise, if anyone were to jump in and just start reading at such particular point, it looks like the person you quoted is speaking the thoughts that you wrote (and may skip over it thinking they'd already read the referenced post.

I've noticed others doing this also and hope this helps them also as much as it would help me to differentiate who said what.

It could be a browser difference, but I do not have to right click anything... as soon as I highlight

You can do this multiple times within the same post. Make sure to keep your cursor at the end of your

If we are studying God's Word then there is no desperate need for us to belong to any congregation , it's good for us to go to church for sure but , reading God's Word for ourselves is absolutely essential in my opinion . Through reading His Word then we can identify whether or not a congregation is following in the right path , we can know wether they are being led astray or not . If we are reading God's Word for ourselves and allowing God Himself to open our eyes and ears and hearts and minds to Him and His Word , then we , in ourselves are indeed a part of His Temple , we belong to His congregation , we are part of the Body of our Saviour . So , it's great if you can find a good congregation for sure , but it's much much more important for us to b built up into the Truth by our own desire to hear and understand His Word , to read what He us saying to us in His living Word , the Bible . It must dwell in our hearts and minds and that can only happen by very regular reading of it . Just my opinion on this subject , other opinions r available 😁 .

Yes Sir, today we have man-made preachers and JESUS disciples.

Man-made preachers go to school and come out a preacher.

JESUS disciples is the ones who follow HIS word and the JESUS disciple in HIS word, they are reborn the same way and then just like the JESUS disciples in HIS word are lead by the spirit.

Problem is without the spirit we can believe anything, that is why there in ONE GOD, ONE RULE book and so many different denominations.

It's not hard, if when in a church the preacher says something that is not true and goes against HIS word, confront him and if he don't change leave or just leave.

Our walk is between us and HIM, we have HIS rule book to follow and that's the one we will be judge by so why not follow it?

Here are a few problems today,
The man-made sinners prayer,
We are saved by grace or faith alone,
Paul preached a different message,
Baptism is for show etc.

All not bible.

The book of Acts in the building of the church, it's an easy read and SO MANY people don't use it and THINK they are ok with JESUS, sad.

We need to keep things in context, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John JESUS walked with us.
Acts the building of the church where the foundation is laid for how to be reborn.
All books after that are letters to established churches not to the unsaved where you will NOT FIND ONE PLACE THAT TELLS US HOW TO BE REBORN.

I'm not telling anyone how to be reborn, if you what to know follow what JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES in the book of Acts.

Hint, JESUS died for our sins, sin will keep us out of heaven if we don't get rid of them we are HELL bound.

If we don't, HE died for nothing.

Thanks for the hint. I had no idea you could do that.
You are among my 'frequently read' contributors @Gideon300 so I have an interest in 'separating' your contributions. ;)

You can also extract entire sections, such as a whole paragraph or just a part of it from a by continuing to drag the cursor to include all relevant material you'd like to include in your response. Magenta brought up that you don't have to right click as the "reply" prompt will automatically appear for your selection.

Yes ! The book of Acts is literally awesome ! It contains everything that anyone who wants to know the Truth , needs to know . If we read it thoroughly and carefully we will c that it does contain the entire Gospel in one great book . It is a great guide to us !
