Ive always had respect for folksy Joyce Meyer. I bet the Bible scholars dont rate her highly. But she knows how to connect to real people. in my humble non narcissistic view
B. G. was very respected but many christian groups opposed his doctrinal stances. I myself, never followed or listened to much either way about him. But from the late 70's his fan base drifted away toward more exciting and ear tickling preachers. Joyce Meyers either. Her appeal seems to be more in the feel good arena from what I've heard women say. I haven't personally known any men that were big fans of hers. I was called a 'Hater of God' while standing in line to a service (performance) of his. I was invited by a friend and had never seen or listened to him at all. I was dismayed by what I saw and heard. That had nothing to do with him or his ministry before or after. The ticket was free so I decided to check him out.
I sure as heck hope so!! 😁😁 I feel like a lot of preachers get fervent about things, but we don’t always appreciate that. I know in the past I’ve kinda been surprised and not a fan when any pastor has gotten “shouty.”
But now I’m like when you got good doctrine and the Holy Spirit is leading, we should get shouty!
