I recently read an “Inspirational Quote”:
“If God showed us the whole journey, we’d never take the first step.”
God has blessed me with enough years and experiences to understand the pain behind that quote. That was my first reluctant response. Further consideration led me to reject the idea that God would trick those he loves most with a deception. I have always believed we must be first called and then respond to that calling. Are we making a choice without knowledge?
We also know that when we accept Yeshua, we also accept the pain of His cross. This appears to me to be after the fact and offers no comfort to the question.
In the end, I guess the quote is true but I cannot find it inspirational in any means.
I would like to hear some thoughts on this if it interests you.
