It says There was light . So I believe this because that is what it says . God creates light. Literally . its safer to believe this and assume that the sun is not his only means of doing this. Than inventing a whole new creation account to fit our ideas and philosophy about how we think God must create stuff .

How about we take it step by step...

When did God create the angels? On day 1? Before? After?

First of all, i never claimed such an idea to be infallible... I think its the most probable...
Its actually safer not to claim such infallibility as you seem to be doing. The safest way is to measure these things in probability.

You believe that version is most probable which is fine.
But you don't have a viable explanation as to how Satan arrives on the 7th day or why God does the day/night thing twice.
And why begin the 2nd verse with "now"? Wouldn't "and" be the correct term if it was a continuation of the 1st verse?

And haven't you ever heard of the light and the dark? It represents good and evil.
The bible is full of this particular allegory. It's so well known that it's even used outside of Christianity

Is all of the Bible to be read literally? Is all of Genesis to be read literally? Where is this rule mentioned?

I see two options , which if we hold in probability space , is this . We go with what it says and there might be some questions . Or we make something out of speculation . The other thing is trusting that God really wants us to understand. Not in riddles, or cryptic hidden messages. But plainly .

It does very much seem to say in Job 38:4-7 that the angels witnessed the creation of the universe.

"Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring
line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone -
while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?"

What happens next... Are the 7 days literal 7 days? If so then how is it possible for Satan to already be there to tempt Eve?
Is that enough for the war in heaven and for Lucifer to be banished with 1/3 of the angels?

Maybe there is a considerable amount of time after God made the heavens and earth. The way the 2nd verse starts with "now" makes it sound like there was some time lost in between. Who knows how much time there was before then.
And i read something that suggested that this darkness at the start was evil and that God shines His light to flush it away so he can begin creating...

There are a few different beliefs on creation so let me hear them...

Days... we know from the word one day to the lord is like a thousand years. So there is no time space when God made all this Yes the light before the sun awesome huh We should know there was sin before Adam and Eve. Well Satan had already fallen and hell was prepared/made for Satan and his angels. For God so loved the world... behold the lamb of God that takes away the? SIN of the world.

The truth is there is much here that is not written so speculation will come in to play. As wonderful lol as speculation can be its very unwise to run with it. Space... always wondered why so black? Oh I LOVE the stars. When I was like 15 or so I had a dream. In this dream I see my self with a HUGE smile and as i am looking at my self he/me turns my head to the right looking up. Now I see all these starts and its not black but a deep dark blue. Then from the right to left these angles cross the sky singing.. this is where I lost. ANYONE here ever hear music from heaven? I called the person that ran the bible study to PLEASE pray I want that to happen again.

Oh I prayed begged ...haha still am. There is nothing like it. No music here even comes close. And at that time I never knew angels had wings unit that dream. I know to our Father this like happen just moments ago but to me its been like what 48 years have gone by.. sorry.. this was about space black. Why make so many planets.... is that the 2nd heaven the place where Abraham said he could not cross.. I don't speculation lol

Jesus spoke in parables as well. They can be very cryptic and contain hidden messages too...

Revelation tells us that there was a war in heaven that resulted in the fall of Lucifer...

Im struggling to understand how this war and fall of Lucifer could have all occurred in the space of only 7 days.
And I'm yet to hear a decent explanation for it either... Any suggestions?

To be fair, you've missed the discussion which is why your going off track...

Anyhow if your willing to use the metaphor of God's light then logic would follow that darkness is also the metaphor for evil.

God flushes away the evil with his light... Its a theme that is repeated time and time again

All your doing is speculating on what is metaphorical and what is literal. Which is what we all do.

Running with it is not what I'm doing. I have made it clear that I'm not claiming this to be infallible, I consider people fools to be making such claims of knowledge and wisdom...

That dream you had sounds awesome... Im trying to imagine it but I'm thinking its glory is far greater than anything I can imagine.

Pondering the unknown is fun but people seem to get carried away and put all their eggs in one basket

Jesus explained the parables. We can tell its a parable
And I wouldn't compare the creation account with a parable.

I struggle to understand how God created out of nothing ,but i believe what it says . And a metaphor is not a riddle .
