This person babysat me the other day and she was a girl inside a guys body and she dresses like a girl and talks like a girl and everything. I really like her, obviously nothing could ever happen because she's 24 and well I'm still a child. I can't stop thinking about her, she was so nice to me and she's really beautiful and her make up makes her look so pretty. I don't usually feel things like this for other people but for her I do and I'm confused if that's bad to be attracted to her since she still has male parts and she's older? I think I might be in love with her but I haven't really experienced this before so I'm not sure if it could be lust or love?

(1)Thirteen and you were babysat? Are you handicapped?
(2)The boy that was dressing like a girl is still a boy.He is not a she. This is basic anatomy:)
(3) Confusion, lust, confusion is what you are feeling. Do you base love on a nice makeup job on a man and a man parading around as a girl?
Why did your parents allow this man sit with you?

You're 13. Your hormones are raging and you don't know how to deal with them. You are not in love with this MAN. It is sometimes not possible to control your initial hormonal reaction, but you can choose who you fall in love with. Being in love is different than a reaction that your out-of-control hormones gives you.

This is the time in life when you need to be growing in your relationship with God, STOP thinking about this man, and focus on God.

Hi. Well maybe it's just your hormones that have got you bugging.. If it's okay can I offer to keep you in my prayers??

It's natural at your age to experience a kind of infatuation for others - you've stated that this person was kind so it couldn't be entirely vain. You're alright; just relax and proceed apace.

My parents dont trust me enough to be by myself for that long. I know they dont approve of his lifestyle so I dont think they knew much about him until he turned up and by then they couldnt really say no.

I don't even know how to respond to this.. To begin with, you're 13, old enough to be left home alone. My parents left me home alone when I was 13, didn't hurt me at all. Second, this "girl" is NOT a girl, HE is a GUY. I know your hormones are on, but they're on for the wrong sex with your "babysitter". :/

Uh, why is everyone making the poor guy feel stupid for not being home alone? That's his parent's decision, and all parent's are different. I know that my parents would have been concerned leaving some of my siblings home alone if they were only 13. That's really not the point of the post.

I was babysitting the neighbor kids when I was 13. Thats why I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt when I asked if he was handicapped in some way.

His parents aren't comfortable leaving him home alone "for that length of time" that's enough, isn't it?

Blue Ladybug the law in the UK in regards to being left home alone may well be different from the states. There is no legal age at which children may be left home alone, but parents can be prosecuted for neglect, if it puts them at risk of injury or suffering. For example a 13 year old is left at home alone and try's to cook some soup and scalds themself the parent would be potentially prosecuted for neglect. The recogmendations from the NSPCC is no child under 12 should be left alone at home for a long length of time and no child under 16 should be left at home overnight. It is up to the parent to decide if the child is capable/responsible enough to be left home alone. Also car should be taken with deciding whether older siblings should look after younger ones.

His parents are trying to be responsible however they should have taken more care with who they choose to babysit him.

In the UK it is up to parents to decide what age it is OK to leave a child home alone. There is no legal age for someone to babysit in the UK. It is the responsibility of the parents using common sense to make the decision. It is worth bearing in mind though that a child under 16 years old cannot be prosecuted for neglect or ill treatment of children in their care. The parents/carers/guardians would be charged in that situation. However, any person who is 16 or over and who has responsibility for a person under that age could be prosecuted. In general in the UK a person would be expected to be at least 14.

You are a 13 year old male attracted to a pretty looking "female" (at least this sitter looked female and your hormones can't tell the difference) who was kind to you. It's called puberty and hormones, and it just means that you are normal. Yes navigating hormones (especially during the teenage years) can be confusing. There's no good or bad in feelings and biochemistry; you can't control those so don't beat yourself up over whether you should or shouldn't feel this way. The focus now should be learning to deal with feelings in a right way (we all have to learn that one).

As this situation is so confusing for you, it would be a good thing if this person was not allowed to babysit you again and you are certainly old enough to express that to your parents. The best thing for you and your healthy development will be good role models of men who embrace being men and women who embrace being women, not someone who is dealing with the self rejection of wanting to be other than they are (even if it that pain has made them a kinder and more compassionate person).

Not knowing you or your social situation, I'll also add the thought that you might just desperately want a friend. I know when I get lonely and isolated it is definitely tempting to attach very quickly to anyone who shows the least bit of kindness or interest in talking to me. So you might not be in hormones at all, you might just be lonely.
