I don't disagree, but wasn't Christ promised in Genesis 3?yep agreed even to the first man created
“which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”
Luke 3:38 KJV
but scripturally the gospe always returns to Abraham and the promise of Jesus the messiah
eve also received a promise that Christ would be born and overcome the serpent so ininderstand what your saying I’m just saying doctrinally it always goes back here and here only
“Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.”
Isaiah 51:2 KJV
if you think about it God told Abraham he was going to. Less all people through him so not sort of always returns to that promise the first thing he said to Abraham in scripture even Abram the Hebrew beforehand
“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Genesis 12:1-3 KJV
This is why it always dates back to Abraham and not Noah or Enoch or Seth only because the Word of God declared the promise to Abraham only in preparation to fulfill all his words in the ot as he did
jesus is the seed of promise given to Abraham the redeemer of mankind the savior and messiah the sacrifice the high priest and great shepherd of the flock
it always returns to the promise God made to Abraham when he gave him a new name ( that’s where our new identity came from also as Abraham’s promise worked so it comes to us we aren’t who we were either but Godbhas made us a new promise like as to Abraham an eternal family his children forever
How do we become in Christ?Have no idea what you mean. Hearing and believing the word doesn't put you "in Christ". No scripture says nor infers that.
Great panels. They adorn the thread.John 8:36 plus Romans 8:2 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.![]()

Great question with a simple answer. We're baptized into Christ and into his death. How do we become in Christ?
I don't disagree, but wasn't Christ promised in Genesis 3?
There is another reason why I bring this out. Adam was representative of the whole human race. We all died IN ADAM. I was hoping some would explore this aspect of what it means to be in Christ.
If Jesus were the son of Adam I think his death would be meaningless. He was without sin, therefore proof he was and is the Son of God. (I'm just stopping by this thread quickly so didn't read you entire post. I may be repeating something you already addressed here.) Got to run!brother what I’m saying is Jesus is never called the son of Adam because Adam was never promised to be the father of many nations or that all families of earth would be blessed through Adam infact we were all cursed through Adam that’s how we fell from grace to begin with into death
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
Romans 5:12 KJV
arhat happenee to Adam and his offspring and it’s why we need to be born again not reborn as Adam but in Christs image
remember the one man on the Bible who offered his only begotten son willingly to God ? The only son God recognized anyways
remember this ? This is what sort of makes my point while ininderstand what your saying look at this
“And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
……And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
Genesis 22:2, 8, 10-12, 15-18 KJV
Do you see how what Abraham did with Isaac begets what God did with Jesus ? And then consider what this is saying
Note how what Abraham did is really important along wi th what God promosed Abraham regarding his seed Jesus christ
“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Galatians 3:7-9, 16, 26-27, 29 KJV
to be born again as adams offspring is irrelevant we already are and need to be reborn in Christs image in Abraham’s seeds image to be the hiers of the promise made to Abraham only not Adam or Noah or eve but the promise soecifically given to Abraham and th en looking at what Abraham offered God his only begotten abrahan declaring agod would provide his own lamb for sacrifice and then God promising Jesus throughout the ot
it just always returns to Abraham because that’s the point God said “ in the I will bless all people in thy seed “ adams sees many are going to perish ll of Abraham’s seed in Christ will live

Right. It's a good point. But to understand what it means to be in Christ, it is necessary to understand what it means to be in Adam. Sure that's an easy answer. Now what does it mean?
I'm sure you are speaking about water baptism. How does a physical act produce a
spiritual reality? Even if you believe baptism to be a necessary attendant as part of
salvation, there still is, of necessity, a spiritual causation to make it effectual. There
is no spiritual power in water, otherwise a normal bath would produce the same result.

Yes it does. It's symbolic. It simulates, not appropriates.Read the text. Argue with Paul. It simulates Christ's death, burial, and resurrection
The main thing is, how does one get "in Christ" according to scripture? Once that's understood, the rest is easy to understand, and that's by being baptized into Christ: no other way according to scripture. We learned what the scripture said: If any be in Christ they are a new creature....
but what else that's left? what have we not considered?

Are you suggesting that water baptism saves anyone or washes anyone's soul? Is being "in Christ" a spiritual reality or not? If it is then your lengthy post means nothing.eother philip and Peter had baptism wrong and did it on water or maybe possibly you have come to a wrong conclusion
