Im Still Afraid

You all, Im still struggling with salvation issues. I know accepted Jesus as my Saviour many years ago. No doubt about that! But I know what the Scripture says about loving Mother or Father more than Him. Ive felt like maybe Ive done the latter since my Mom died I truly want to love Jesus more. Every day I dont have peace about my soul! But I want this peace! Please pray for me! I cant live in this constant turmoil!

Stay calm, and undrstand that as long as you know that Jesus is Lord, and accept that his word is the fundamental truth, you have the holy spirit dwelling in you.
This is the gift of salvation. Read his prayer in John 17 for encouragement; "I have kept those whom you have given me. None of them is lost except the son of destruction, that the scripture might be fulfilled."
This word will certainly be fulfilled, and no one who accepts and seeks Jesus is lost.
Read Galatians 5, too. Jesus is freedom, and not opression.
Loving your parents is no sin if the love does not interfere with the word of the Gospel. If your parents are christians too, they are brothers, making your love for them especially valid in Christ.

The love of Jesus is keeping his word. You can't love him physically untill you physically can.
Establish yourself in your faith, and take control. Know your mom isn't dead, just asleep. Confusion and doubt are from satan, and not God. Pray for strength, and persistently command by God for those evil spirits to depart from you.

Let us pray to understand when the mind's thoughts are in turmoil, perhaps
It's time to let go of the past, or else the past will never let go. Self-inflicted turmoil
may arise from one's doubt in their faith. Pray for a spiritual reprieve that can
surely bring about a sense of peace and well-being.

Pray for a God awareness in all the coming and going each day, and be done
with unnecessary worldly foolishness and a focus on the principles of spiritual discipline.
Pray to know this requires daily practice.

Yes. I see her again on July 17th. I know I am driving everyone I know crazy, but I just have no peace!!! I know I was saved when I was 15. That is one thing I have no doubt about at all. But since my Mom died, Ive just come unglued. Ive even seen the Lord do things in my favor, felt compassion for others and said when Im a spiritually healthy person again Id like to help this ir that person but I cant seem to come to a place of peace. It's hard for me to even read the Scripture. Im really scared. I rely so much on feelings! Is it too late for me!

I don't know how many times I felt my mother say "Billy, get off your back side and get to work."

Shoshie, I'm praying for you now. Asking our Father to bring comfort to your heart and peace to your mind. To remind you of that time in your youth when you gave your life to Jesus. He has not forgotten you and will never forsake you. He's felt distant at times with me too, and that can go on for a while. But you can be assured that He knows exactly what's happening with you.
