And this is why trying to warn someone about a catfish is, unfortunately, totally useless.

No one being catfished will actually listen.

Joe, I do give you credit for not exploding at us or calling us liars when we try to talk to you, because that's what others have done in the past.

But when this person breaks your heart, and she will, we are still your friends.

You can always come back and talk to us and we will comfort you and pray for you. I have to admit that this is the most frustrating part though, having a person you sincerely tried to warn ignore everything you say, then comes to you in the aftermath, constantly wanting to talk about how hurt they were even though they ignored everything that was told to them.

I can't tell you how maddening it is to see friends who have known you a long time speak in vain and are genuinely trying to help you, but you just stick your fingers in your ears and refuse to listen, or better yet, to see.

All the evidence you need is right in front of you.

Well you definitely have my attention now that has been an amount talked about.
Joe. I have a few friends I've met online here. They are more than welcome to jump in, and back me up. We don't ask eachother for anything, just friendship.

That $25 is a test, to see if they can sucker you out of more.

I will cut contacts as I said before if she asks me for like a huge sum like 100 to 200$ or if she tries some con play like some elaborate story.
Joe, she shouldn't ask you for even $2, let alone $200, especially not after 5 days.

But, it's your money--that you're working so hard for, and trying to get your own place with.

If you want to give it away to a scammer, that's your business.

It's always that. They say if they don't have the money, they won't be able to chat with you
That was the only thing fishy out of everything like I said before everything else seemed plausible.

Joe,

The woman you're talking to is such an obvious scammer that she actually makes the Nigerian Inheritance Scams sound legit. :cautious:
