Yes I dismissed it and that is because I do not see anywhere in the scripture that it was the crowd that followed the crowed he was asking for forgiveness for and the mere fact he pleaded for forgiveness indicates that Jesus believed that his plea was heard and that God the father might do as he pleaded.

I don't believe in adding interpretation of scripture or in any kind of understanding that is aside from what the scriptures themselves say and as I said the scriptures do not say it was the crowd following the crowd and again if he pleaded with the father then he must have believed that he heard and might answer his plea.

So in conclusion and forgive me if I am to not understand this correctly Jesus was speaking about the Jews who were crucifying him
ok try this out.

When Jesus said to pontas perhaps he who delivered you to me was greater of bigger sin, was he opening the eyes to the dream his wife had about the messiah ?

I do believe these things just pass people by.

Jesus was showing pontas that the people handing him over to pontas where guilty of knowing he was the messiah but still handing me over to you, whilst opening his eyes that pontas was also guilty of the same thing.

There you have the Pacific reason.

I would like you to answer the question, when Jesus said forgive the crowd for they know not what they do, was he saying that on the bases, they know not what they do for all things they know not what they do.

your wrong because Judas handed him over knowing he was the Messiah,.and pontas was also made known he was the Messiah. His wife was given a dream and his wife warned him

Shame you never thought of that
The chief priests and the elders delivered Him over to Pilate. Pilates wife didn’t say that He was the messiah, only that He was an innocent man. And Pilate not being a Jew was most likely ignorant of what the messiah was to begin with.

I am not sure what you mean and also What is pacific understanding?

Opposite of Atlantic understanding.
no Jesus had a habit of opening people's eyes 😋

Remember he said to Peter this could not have been known to you unless it was revealed to you.

What was revealed to the wife of pontas.

So do you believe pontas pilate knew he was the Messiah, why was he convicted to ask for a miracle, and why would Jesus say if you say I am

What do think was going on there ?

Maybe you think Jesus was being sarcastic, and so you can just be that way to

things that pass you by 😋
I’m not sure your words aren’t passing you by. Or possibly it’s that you just can’t admit when you’re wrong about something so you evade and change the subject. I guess it’s also possible that you are reading some random version of a study Bible that’s different from the versions I have.

stubbiness is not my sorte, sorry I can't help you there !

Stubbiness-the quality of being short, thick, and broad. Honestly what are you talking about?

Scripture doesn’t tell us why she had the dream.

rabbit trail of escalating your own ignorance whilst pointing the finger I'm ignorant, which so far your history with me here and in another thread has been that way.

The wife of pontas had a dream

Why did the wife of pontas warn pontas.

So if I am to understand you correctly your asking if it was for all things that they didn't know what they did or not? Because in short no it was that specific thing that he was speaking on

SCRIPTURE DOES NOT SAY WHY SHE HAD THE DREAM

Yes I’ve already said that. You said Pilate knew He was the messiah. I said no, Pilate was told He was an innocent man.

Matthew 27:19

New International Version

19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.”

Now look at John 18:11 again

What did pontas become guilty of ?

Well the answer is knowing Jesus was innocent like Judas knew

But Go ahead and babble on
