Hello all.

I appreciate that the title of this post is rather general. Whilst it is true, and I'm sure we all agree, I wanted to be a bit more specific and share something.

I am not a perfect person (although we are all perfect, being in God's image). I am not without sin. I can only ask for forgiveness and hope that any hurt I cause someone is relieved of them as soon as possible.

With the advent of the internet, and in particular, social media, we are suddenly able to communicate with strangers all across the world. Naturally, this also can have negative consequences. In response to some comments I had made about world events, a stranger took it upon himself to attack not only my opinion, but my person also, namely my appearance. Before knowing of Jesus (I do not refer to simply the man, but the Logos he represented, which is an understanding that transcends any intellectual knowledge) I might have attacked their appearance also, or some other percieved 'flaw' (we are all as God made us), however I did not, and instead I invited them to examine why they might attack my physical appearance, and whether or not it was relevant.

I have also experienced body shaming on this site. I forgive they whom made the comments, and I hope they might understand that whilst they may have made them without malice of heart, such words can be very hurtful.

I offer the below idea for you to ponder:

It is through the Circumcision of Christ that we are given "Understanding." Once our hearts have been Purified of the Curse of the Lord, we are then given Knowledge, for while under the Curse of the Lord, there can be no Wisdom, for Knowledge cannot be understood if we have not been granted Understanding. Therefore, Wisdom comes by Knowledge, but only if we have been granted Understanding.

Colossians 2:11-13 NLT - "When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins."

Above, it is clear to see that without the Circumcision of Christ, we are "dead." Thus, it is through the Circumcision of Christ that we are made "alive." Therefore, no person can possess Understanding if they have not been relieved of the Curse.

Amazingly, Understanding, Knowledge, and Wisdom appear 9 times in the same verse in the KJV translation.
