Strawberrigurl by grace of the Lord I was saved from bisexuality. I would say simply repent and believe. Realize that this is sin and repent from it. Trust in Christ and the richness of His mercy. GOD IS FAITHFUL TO SAVE.

Surrender your life to God and sincerely ask Him to break this stronghold in your life. A broken and contrite heart He will not despise. When God sees such willingness and faith in you, He will set you free. Renew your mind with the word of God and resist every evil thought.

Can you define 'attracted' for us? That would be more helpful then people giving their opinions on the situation without knowing the context.

I believe she has given enough information, asking her to define what she feels may lead others to place thoughts that do not belong in their minds.

The title of the thread is "I think I'm gay..." and the user states that she has been attracted to girls since she was 11. I think the context is written on the wall. To strawberrigurl if God could say me from 12 years as a bisexual, He can certainly deliver you. Same sex attraction may be something you struggle with for years to come but is not something that you have to submit. Cgrist gives us dominion over sin and the authority in His name to overcomes the misdeeds of the flesh. IN His name we can act as Paul and beat our flesh into submission.
 
I stnad corrected she said ince she was not young not age 11. That was a mistake on my part. still point remains the same
 
Wow! anyone would be walking into a firing range to bring this subject up I guess. Strawbrrgirl, If you are still reading this thread, listen. I am 46 years old and I was attracted to women from puberty. I didn't even know what homosexuality was and I was attracted to the same sex. It seems to scare christians to death to even acknowledge these things. The judgement I have read in this tread is pure Narrsisitic.
We are born into sin. Sin just like the other things talked about in Romans 1. WE all are worthy of death, even those that disobey their parents, and gossipers and many other sins commited by Christians even. So, you are no worse than they!
IF you have these tendencies, God can provide deliverence. The things that I used to think abut women have been erased from my mind when God cleansed me from all of my sin. It is a miracle, but God loves us and will help. Like someone in an above post said, if need be, you might need to remain celebate. I do. But this is a situation between you and God. Obviously many Christians don't know how to have love for people with this problem. Like Tommy4Christ up there who attacked you. God can take those feelings away. Just don't act on them or it will be harder to turn away.

Relax first off and remember you are loved regardless and try to figure out if you are actually attracted to woman or if it is something else, I would also pray for the next step.
You will be okay regardless. God loves all. not just heterosexuals.
 
God knows all about us before we was even born. I'm a lesbian and i am who i am i not going to lie about it to myself or to other people bout my sexuality it a sin to lie. would you rather have somebody sad all their lives trying to be who they aren't or let them be and be happy with themselves and at peace. And may i point out that Homosexuals can get married now if God didn't want us to make the vows he wouldn't let happen.

We are to obey God, and repent of our sin. That includes repenting of our sexual sin, whatever it be.
 
You think youre gay... if you have to think about it youre probably not gay. lol

by your logic if it is legal it is moral . in Islamic nations honor killings are legal but I guess if God thought honor killings were wrong He would stop them from happening. Since He doesn't intervene then He must be okay with it, right? No that is logically fallacious.
You are right God knows all about us before we were born and it is for that reason we all MUST be born again.
God never tells us to lie to ourselves yet Jesus does tell us to deny ourselves and follow after Him and that in order to gain life we must first lose life.
True peace comes from the freeing grace of God which sadly you know nothing of.

God's love doesn't supersede His justice God is not oxymoronically love and justice He is harmoniously a God of both. He is a God of both compassion and wrath. That a loving God can send sinners to hell and still be love incarnate is not a contradiction it may be a paradox but not a contradiction
 
I disagree that it is a sin, but this is not a debate on homosexuality so I will not get into that. Regardless, worrying about it won't help it go away. If one is a Christian they should focus on their relationship with God, rather than others.

I not want to live my life that God has given me to be sad, i am going to be just me.
and when i meant peace i meant peace with themselves of being who they are.
so please don't judge me of what i know or don't know.
 
Enough judgement guys... I feel so much judgement and condemnation here. This isn't helpful or loving. We don't need to freak out because someone says they are struggling sexually.

Remember this, you are loved by God. Lusting after another woman may be a sin - but so is lusting over a man. This is just another way that our bodies and minds are messed up by sin.

From what you have said I think you love God. This is important.

Now, we know that homosexuality lust is a sin, the bible is pretty clear on this, please don't try and convince yourself it isn't.

But we all face temptations in many ways... I have a question for you? Are you prepared to live a single life for God? If you feel you couldn't get married to a man, would you be prepared to live a celibate life for God? It's not an easy question... but it does come to the core of the matter. All of us need to be prepared to live a life for God wherever he puts us and whatever happens to us.

One thing with homosexuality is that for some reason it seems to become so central to someones identity. Remember that your identity is in Christ.

Now... pray to God about this, if you have mature (I stress mature) friends or gospel workers you feel you can talk to about this, may be helpful. God may heal you of this temptation and take it away from you, he may do it over years, or he may not. Just remember, Jesus died for your sins, God is so much more important! :)

soo you rather justify her then? obviousily if she is gay she's gay, she needs to repent from that sin and have God help her break the bondages of her sin.
