I know Jesus loves me and I totally believe it. Im Christian and I have been for a long time. Im not doubting Jesus or anything! I want to be a missionary when I grow up to tell others all about Jesus and what he's done in my life. My friends always tell me I give the best advice and make them happy when they're sad, but I can not seem to apply the whole Jesus loves ME to my life. I could go out and preach the point so well and be so joyful, but whenever I get really sad I feel like Im not good enough to share my thoughts with someone or that I even deserve to be sad. I feel like my life's a waste sometime (even though I know its not) and I just feel so worthless. So how do you keep reminding yourself inside that God loves you for you are, you are beautiful, loved, good enough, and that the scriptures apply to your life???

We can all show others the way, it is always hardest applying it to ourselves.
If you give the right wqords of encouragement to others, how con your life be a waste?
You feel vyou are not 'good enough' praise Gods! that shows humility. I would be worried if you thought you were good enough. None of us ever will be in ourselves.

You have been saved by Grace, through faith, as we all have.
When Jesus died on the cross, it was for you as much as for anyonme else.
The only way we can really grow as Christians is to realise we cannot do it ourselves, we need to come to the end of relying on ourselves. When we get to that point we fully trust Jesu, and let Him do the work in us through the Holy Spirt.
That's Grace!

A grace that caused a Loving Heavenly Father to give everything He had to give for us undeserving sinners.
We are saved by grace, through faith, a faith given to us because we are loved, undeserving as we are. It is not what we can do to be 'good enough' for God, it is what God has done and will continue to do in us if we let Him so that we can live as He wants us to.
We cannot earn our way to Heaven, we cannot be 'good enough' for Heaven.

Jesus did what was neccessary on the cross to entitle us undeserving sinners to get to Heaven

The Godly died for the unGodly.

You have a righteousness, not of yourself but one credited to you by God. Faith in His son that He died for you on the cross. That is why your Heavenly Father looks down at you from Heaven and loves you dearly. So no more about not being good enough, please.

From what you write, I am absolutely positive your Father in Heaven is well pleased with how you are doing, if He is let that be enough.

PraiseGod, I understand what you are feeling, and personally know several people who can identify with us, but don't know if it is emotional or spiritual or a combination of both. I know that praising God and seeking Him is the start of the conclusion when facing tough issues. As soon as I stop everything, get alone (even if it's a bathroom at school or at work) and call out to God (silently) and acknowledge Him as my Lord and Savior, acknowledge He is Sovereign (Ruler of All) thus even the situation I'm struggling with is under His ultimate control, and I'm willing to trust Him, He will be glorified in the situation, even if that glorifying is just my silent recognition of Him there in the bathroom. I praise Him, and pray through verses like the ones SoLoved gave you ... (it really helps me get my heart and head aligned with our Gracious Savior)
Thank You "SoLoved" for the verses, I started praying through them for "PraiseGod"as well as myself and thoroughly delight in:
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit
Thank You Lord that you know exactly how PraiseGod and all of us feel, especially when our hearts feel like hamburger and our spirits are crumpled up like paper, You know us, our pains and you draw us closer to your own heart,
Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.
Lord we choose to cast our concerns on you, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, capable and able and willing to take our cares upon yourself
and give us your strength, you sustain us, You cloth us in your righteousness and uphold us not to fall
Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Oh Lord, we are but worms, weak and powerless, our hearts fail, but you are our Strength and You are all we need
You are sufficient
Psalm 138:7
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.
You care about each of us individually. You have given us free will and we walk in the middle of trouble, but you love us so much you preserve our lives, you defend us from the anger of our enemy and you scoop us up into your strong right hand to saving Grace.
Thank You SoLoved. Thank You PraiseGod.
It's a lot, but I definitely want to read it all. Why does it say "banned' after some names?

OH NO!!
since I'm new to ChristianChat.com I re-read the rules page again this morning and realized:
I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE POSTING ON CHRISTIAN TEEN FORUM
-I'm so sorry
I guess it's the mother in me that wants to know what's going on :)
and I was hoping to find teen perspective on issues my teen son and I are grappling with to better respect his perspective
THANK YOU anyway
i'll go away now

you must be worthy enough for the son of God, by who all things were made through him died for your sins so you could have grace and mercy....

you must be worthy if you are made in the image of God

to be called his Child

sometimes having love for ourselves is hard and we are too hard on ourselves, i am one of those people im too hard on myself, and some time ago somebody told me i had to also love myself and also as we are to forgive others we should forgive ourselves and show mercy and grace to ourselves...

also...read ephesians 2 it shows alot of what Christ did, with grace and mercy....its just wow...praise God

we all have sad moments and that's a big challenge to every Christians in measuring our faith and trust in God. At these times, we're ought to never stop learning and to keep facing whatever comes our way whether it's good or bad and at the end of the day when we get through, A Great Reward from God awaits you and that's the mindset that you can put into yourself so that you can keep the spirit high and show to the Lord that you are a worthy Christian.

Always walk in righteousness and God bless you!
